Want to know the process for applying online to GRU? JagSearch. JagSearch is an online support system which offers a knowledge base of commonly-requested information available at your fingertips. Search by category, popular topics, recent topics or simply type a question into the search bar. Try out the Troubleshooter function, which walks students through the process step-by-step, or you can browse the downloads section, which houses commonly-requested forms.

2014 Fall Commencement: Are you ready? place at 2 pm at the James Brown Arena located at 601 7th Street in Augusta. All seating is general admission, and no tickets are required. Guests are encouraged to park in the main arena lots, the Bell Auditorium lot and on streets adjacent to the arena. Doors open approximately 90 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. The event will also be webcast at www.gru.edu/stream. Fall commencement will take place on December 13, which is not as far away as it sounds. There are a lot of important details to remember to make sure the big day is as much a success as you are:
Graduation Packets: Pick up your graduation packets at the Registrar’s Office. These packets contain useful information such as driving directions to the event, special instructions and neccessary paperwork to be completed.
Graduation Applications: Due by midterm of the semester prior to the appropriate graduation ceremony. The fall applications are now past due. Stop by the Registrar’s Office to pick up or turn in applications.

Commencement Attire: Caps and gowns can be purchased or picked up at the bookstore. Proper attire for the commencement ceremony includes dark hose and shoes for the ladies and dark pants and shoes for men. Women should not bring purses to the ceremony.

Updating your Major? Please visit the Registrar’s office to complete a Change of Major form. This form needs to be signed off by your current advisor and also the department chair of the new major.

The Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) is announcing a new system for submitting an Institutional Scholarship Application for a 2015-2016 academic year. Academic Works is a leading scholarship management solution used by over 250 institutions of higher education. This system offers convenient and easy access to each applicant for better service and faster review of scholarship applications. Academic Works is user friendly and provides additional suggestions to applicants for scholarship opportunities, sends automated notification of awards, and is available online 24/7. All you will need is your Jag ID and Password to login. Complete your application at gru.academicworks.com starting December 1.
Financial Aid TV FATV is an online video library which give users access to video clips of financial aid topics 24 hours a day. These videos communicate complex financial aid information in an easy to understand style and cover a wide array of topics including: • How to Complete the FAFSA • What are Direct Loans • Repeat Coursework • Satisfactory Academic Progress • Financial Literacy Counseling videos are also now available.

How to Determine if Additional Documents are needed for FAFSA Read the comment section of the student aid report (SAR) located at fafsa.ed.gov. It will indicate if you have been selected for a process called VERIFICATION. Check the Financial Aid section in POUNCE account (pounce.gru.edu). Any required documents will be listed. Please submit required documents as soon as possible. Documents are processed in the order they are received. They may be submitted by fax, mail, or delivered to the Enrollment Services Center located on the first floor of Fanning Hall on the Summerville Campus.
