FLAIR Honor Society Induction February 26 and 27, 2018 For the sixth year, FLAIR held two honor society inductions because we have outgrown the theater, which seats about 750 folks. Richmond County public and private schools, Aquinas High School, North Augusta High School and Washington County High School attended on February 27th.

All other schools attended on February 26th. Below are some highlights from both events.

At right, the North Augusta High School Jr. ROTC under the supervision of Commander Beck. The Jr. ROTC presented the colors both nights and Commander Beck led the pledge of allegiance.

Certificates of Merit for Middle Schoolers For the twelfth year, FLAIR offered Certificates of Merit to middle school students who have maintained an A average for a year and a half of foreign language study. We hope they will join the FLAIR Honor Society when they reach high school.

Students who are members of the FLAIR Foreign Language Honor Society are eligible to receive a $25 award for participating in a study abroad program. Only one award will be given per year.

Students must participate in an organized program and the funds will be disbursed after receiving official documentation of completion of the program. No deadline. Contact: Terry Meredith at tmeredith@aquinashigh.org

Spanish summer camps at Camp Cavalier at Augusta Prep For all children!

Aventura en EspaĂąol: El Agua es Vida Rising 6th-9th graders June 11-15 (Week 2) 9:00-12:00 Price: $155 This is a Spanish language and culture camp for rising 6th-9th graders. Students will explore the theme of water through music, cultural activities, science experiments, food, art, and games in Spanish. Students may be beginning or intermediate Spanish speakers. All students will commit to speaking Spanish as much as possible during the camp hours.

Aventura en EspaĂąol, Junior: La Copa Mundial Rising 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders July 16-20 (Week 6) 9:00-12:00 Price: $155 This is a Spanish language and culture camp for rising 3rd-5th graders. Students will learn about the countries participated in the World Cup soccer tournament through music, cultural activities, food, science, art, and games in Spanish. Beginners are welcome!
