this is Giffoni has invented a completely original concept of a film festival, envisioning a place where young people are at the heart of everything, demanding that the attention of the world of culture be turned to the voices that are less listened to, recognizing the younger generations as having the talent, skills and the expertise to play a leading role in both the present and the future.


MUCH MORE THAN A FESTIVAL Every year, thousands of young people make up the largest jury in the world. Coming from more than 50 countries, they are brought together by their love for cinema, their desire to live a unique and once-in-a-lifetime experience and their urge to express themselves freely and be heard. This is what makes Giffoni much more than a film festival.


IMPROVING THE WORLD In 54 years, Giffoni has become a cultural reference point in Italy, a set of values with which young people can identify. It is the affirmation of a sense of global community that counters any division. The Giffoni experience, above all else, shows how happiness can be achieved through empathy, dialogue, art and creativity.

THE FESTIVAL For over fifty years, the festival has been the world's benchmark for films aimed at younger generations and families. Over 100 films in competition and more than 150 guests and talents from cinema, TV, literature, music and institutions. Great premieres, the carpet experience, concerts, live performances and workshops are just a few of the events that are open to the general public as well.
