Class Policies, Cancelation & Refund Information Withdrawals, transfers and refunds are allowed up to 10 days prior to the program start date, less a $5 administrative fee. The administrative fee does not apply when the Town initiates a class cancelation due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. In this case the full class fee will be credited back to the customer account. Classes priced at $10 or less are nonrefundable. No refunds or transfers within 10 days prior to the program start date.

In your cooking class, we will provide easy to follow recipes that are fun to make and fast to put together. We will also learn basic kitchen safety tips. Individuals with special needs 8 years and older are encouraged to join in the fun of bowling. Taking part in this sport provides individuals the chance to develop physical fitness, self-confidence and build strong relationships. Those needing extra supervision must provide his/her own aide. Register in advance to guarantee your bowling lane. Special Olympics Tournament will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22nd or 23rd, time TBA. Practices will be held at Bowlero 1160 S. Gilbert Rd. SANCHIN-RYU KARATE –ADAPTIVE STUDIES

Have fun learning the fundamental movements of Sanchin-Ryu. This class is perfect for beginners. Golfers will develop a proper pre-shot routine and jump right into the full swing. This is a slower paced cardio workout designed for beginners and those with physical limitations. Our therapists strive to see the ‘able’, and not the ‘label’ through our social groups program designed to allow individuals with social/emotional deficits to practice and build a social “map” of skills for interacting safely and appropriately with the world around them. Participations are grouped by age and level of functioning and are provided with opportunities for social growth through games, and realistic situations with teachable moments facilitated by credentialed speech, music, and occupational therapists. Let’s do the Monster Mash! Wear your Halloween costume for all your friends to see! There will be a costume contest. We’ll have a great time dancing to music and enjoying old and new friends. INDOOR SKYDIVING AT IFLY

Have you ever wanted to fly? Now is your chance! Participants will take an orientation class, have two flying sessions each, and receive a photo and video of their flight! IFly is trained for adaptive flights and people of all abilities can fly as long as you are 300lbs or lighter. You must wear lace up tennis shoes. ODYSEA AQUARIUM

Dive into the deep blue sea with us on this exciting field trip to Odysea Aquarium. Experience science using all five senses! Investigate the science of sound and odorous chemical reactions. Come in contact with the wonders of biology. See the world in a whole new light. 30th ANNUAL HOLIDAY WRESTLING CAMP

Wrestling camp for beginners and experienced wrestlers 5 years-6th grade. Sponsored by the Gilbert Parks and Recreation Department and conducted by Campo Verde High School Varsity Wrestling Coach, Chris Bishop. The format for the camp is two days of instruction followed by match day for the camp finale. Each participant will receive ribbons for each match wrestled and be eligible for the Braiden Rainey Sportsmanship Award. A camp T-shirt is included! Classes 0-6 Years Parent/Tot Classes are designed to encourage both parent and child participation through instructor led activities. With you by their side, children will experience skills in sharing, listening and following directions. Classes are recommended for the first time participants and those that aren’t quite ready to leave your side. This is a great opportunity to spend quality time with your child.

Arts & Crafts **ABC ART-PARENT/TOT**

This class is designed for your child to learn about the letters of the alphabet through fun crafts, songs, and activities. Students will learn 2-3 letters a week and do a craft related to the letters. A story, song, or creative movement may be implemented if time permits. Dress for a mess and come be creative with us. Sanchin-Ryu is an artistic form of self-defense designed in a way, so that size and strength, age and athletic ability aren’t factors in defending one’s self. Taught on an individual basis, students study in a noncompetitive environment while working on SanchinRyu’s practical movements and non-nonsense approach to self-defense. To truly understand every facet of conflict resolution we study three levels of self-defense awareness; physical, mental and emotional. Those 60+ or under 60 with disabilities may choose a hot meal or soup and salad for a suggested contribution of $3.50; for those under 60 there is a charge of $5.00. Guest meals are available for $5.00/meal.

Not Your Typical Deli

Home Delivered Meals are also available for those who are unable to come to the center. A hot nourish meal is delivered to your home Monday-Friday between 10am and 2pm. To qualify for programs participants must call the Senior Helpline which is sponsored by Area Agency on Aging 602-264-4357. Sensitive storytime welcomes all types of learners and is especially good for wigglers 2 - 5 years old who have trouble in regular storytime, have sensitivities to noise or crowds or are on the spectrum. Play time follows a shortened version of storytime where the library will provide toys and activities for intentional play which encourages early literacy skills! This playtime provides the necessary bonding with your child as well as social time for your child with their peers. Paws to Read pairs Delta-registered therapy animals and their handlers with young readers. Warm, brown eyes and happy grins make all the difference to children’s reading experiences resulting in an increase in reading levels and word recognition, and a higher desire to read and write. The animals listen and don’t tease, laugh, or judge the children. Plus, the animals love to be read to!
