join in Pegasus has started a new programme of volunteering, funded by V Global Charities, for local young people between 16 and 25 years. This is an opportunity for training, work experience and learning on the job at Pegasus up to the end of April 2010. Volunteers will be able to work in most departments in the organisation (programming, fundraising, marketing and governance). the new pegasus It won’t be long before Pegasus is ready for fitting out! Throughout the spring season, the internal finishes are being completed – wiring, plumbing and so on – ready for us to move in furniture and equipment. The new Pegasus will comfortably exceed minimum requirements for sustainability with our specially installed systems. We hope to be generating our own electricity – with some to spare.

During the run of the exhibition the OYT Dance Company will present Walking On Eggshells, a performance that looks at the effects of family separation, on 6 February. This will be one of the few opportunities to see the company in action before they go on international tours in the summer of 2010.

This special event - now in its 3rd year – is a chance for Oxford Youth Theatre members past and present to gather, share stories and have fun! For the last time this reunion will take place outside Pegasus Theatre and to celebrate all that Oxford Youth Theatre have achieved, it has been planned to coincide with the exhibition of their history of nearly 50 years!
There are seven performance projects taking place around the city for young people aged 6 years old and upwards in dance, drama and technical theatre. Participants will be working towards a performance platform in July 2010 where all the groups will share the stage.
