LA BONNE GRAINE
French and Spanish culture has always influenced New Orleans. From the architecture to the food, you can find the essence of French and Spanish influence everywhere. We developed the brand, La Bonne Graine, specifically for Healthcare to create a cohesive feel across all support services within the health system.
La Bonne Graine means The Good Seed in English and is a symbol of nourishment and growth. Our mission is to offer every guest and patient the ultimate healthcare experience. From having a delicious and nutritious meal to enjoying that meal in a clean environment, our goal is to make sure each and every person’s experience is to their satisfaction while within the Healthcare system. The colors of the brand each have special meaning that resonates with guests. Navy conveys confidence and power while yellow represents happiness and optimism. La Bonne Graine gives guests and patients a sense of confidence while dining with us and nourishing their bodies.

Our Recommendations
LA BONNE GRAINE RETAIL
We are proud to present The Collection, an overarching blend of design choices, retail experiences, and interchangeable dining options to better serve you and your guests. We’re bringing excitement into the café with our diverse portfolio of concepts featuring local farmers, restaurants, and celebrity chefs.
We would like to renovate a doctors lounge to convert it into an open design. This would allow for physicians to see the kitchen, increase traffic, and create a destination for all physicians. We would partner with local celebrity chefs to create excitement each month and keep the menu fresh. To elevate the coffee, we’d partner with PJs Coffee and create a high end coffee space to meet the requests of the physicians and administration.
We’d like to continue driving excitement with this partnership with local Louisiana chefs to raise awareness and money for the Healthcare Foundation. Celebrity Chef Cook-off events would be made available to the Healthcare staff as well as guests visiting the hospital.

In line with the trend of restaurants allowing customers to use mobile apps to order their food ahead of time, creating a more pleasant pick-up experience. Guests can order from local restaurants via Uber Eats, DoorDash, and others to have food delivered to a heated or chilled locker. Guests pay for their food and use their phones to unlock their designated locker at the specified pick-up time.
MASHGIN The Touchless Checkout System
Our powerful technology can identify multiple items in under a second so your guests can scan, pay, and be on their way. All while keeping customers and employees safe with completely touchless selfcheckout. Add items and pay without touching anything but your food. Mashgin is also faster than a traditional POS and can help reducing lines and drive-up revenue.

LA BONNE GRAINE PATIENT MENUS
We believe in relying upon data, not hunches, and perhaps nowhere is this more important than in serving a menu that resonates with your patients.
Looking at menus from your local market, we can determine which cuisines are the most prevalent in an area and, therefore, which menu items will resonate with patients.
In addition, we conducted market research to determine what your patients consider “healthy.” Everyone’s perception of healthy is different, so this allows us to feature and market healthy items in a way that is attractive to them.

LA BONNE GRAINE POPULATION HEALTH
Population health is more than a buzzword or a trend that will fade away. It’s a way of improving the health of populations as opposed to individual patients. Food and Nutrition Services departments can play an important part in meeting the needs of a community both in and out of the hospital.
30
POPULATION HEALTH
The Power of Food is the fundamental building block in every population health strategy. As we look across the portfolio of projects we’ve developed with clients over the past few years, it all begins with linking food and nutrition services to improved outcomes in the following areas:
Patient Healing
Healthy Workforce
Patient Healing
Collaborative, data-driven work between Patient Solutions, Patient Experience, Culinary, and Clinical Nutrition teams shapes our ability to identify malnourished patients, help them meet calorie and nutrition requirements, and track readmissions. Our goal? More upstream work to address food insecurity and in the communities we serve—not just expanding access to affordable food with Food Pharmacies, but taking our Teaching Kitchens on the road to teach people how to cook healthy on a budget.
Healthy Workforce
The pandemic taught us that you can’t have a healthy economy without a healthy workforce. We are more focused than ever on building healthy environments in hospital cafés and bringing service closer to the unit. But we have to do more than provide better options— we need to influence better buying behaviors. This requires a collaborative, coordinated strategy driven by the client’s goals, executed by a cross-functional team of operators.
Healthy Communities
The healthcare workforce is the largest group of people who can influence healthy lifestyles, build awareness of wellness education programs, and promote the services and careers that are available in their community. They are the key to transforming the perception of wellness through engagement at the grassroots level. The Power of Food helps our clients make connections in their communities.
Healthy Communities
Cleaner, Greener Supply Chain
Cleaner, Greener Supply Chain
The volume of food and packaging used in hospitals is massive, and an increasing number are looking to us to help them reduce waste, shift spend to local suppliers, and increase clean, unprocessed foods on their menus. These advanced purchasing strategies require careful consideration of cost and impact. We bring together a team of experts from E15, Foodbuy, Culinary, Marketing, and Operations to help clients establish practical goals, project costs and engage local partners not only to do the work, but to tell the story and promote our clients’ commitment to their community.

People are able to get a variety of items from ready to go meals to local offerings all within your hospital. We can expand the micro grocery to include a Teaching Kitchen corner so guests can pop in to learn how to make a variety of foods.
