Our camp leadership program is now a year-round, progressive, experiential leadership opportunity. Discover, connect, and take action as you spend three weeks at camp building your leadership skills! NEW Camp Leadership Experience
$300 for the entire 2022 Year (April 2022 – April 2023) What’s included? • CIT Conference at Camp

Counselor-In-Training
CIT 1
Entering Grades 9 & 10 Girls learn the foundation of camp leadership through team building, selfreflection, and identifying personal growth areas. Girls will leave camp able to assist with implementation of camp for younger girls.
CIT II
Entering Grades 11 & 12 Girls will utilize gained knowledge and resources to plan and lead camp activities with little direction. CIT II participants will also learn how to harness these new skills outside of camp.
Lifeguard-In-Training
LIT (Marine Landing)
Entering Grades 11 & 12 Girls will shadow waterfront staff and practice basic life-saving skills. LITs Help with lifeguard in-service training and will complete all steps of the Paddler and Mariner Boating program at Marine Landing.

How to Apply?
All prospective CITs and LITs must complete an online application, including one reference form, at GSGLA CIT page. Applications will be accepted through March 30. Applicants will receive notice of their acceptance the week of April 4.
CITs accepted into the program will attend a GSGLA CIT conference weekend at Camp Lakota. Conference provides leadership trainings, networking opportunities, meals, and accommodations all included in the GSGLA CIT Program cost.
Price includes a consecutive 3-week summer session, monthly leadership trainings, an overnight CIT Leadership Conference at Camp Lakota, and more!
Staff
Must be a high-school graduate at the start of camp. GSGLA staff summer camp experiences are great resume builders that create unforgettable memories and friendships! Working at summer camp is a great way to develop your communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills while being innovative and having fun at camp. Apply at girlscoutsla.org.

Entering Grades 7 & 8 A pre-CIT experience where you will learn leadership fundamentals as you begin your transition from camper to camp leader! Participants may register through myGS.
