Best known as the founder of Girl Scouts of the USA, Juliette Gordon Low outgrew the trappings of an upper-class society life to create an organization for young women that integrated leadership, equality for all, self-confidence, responsibility, integrity, decision-making, teamwork, outdoor skills, and philanthropy. Girl Scouts of the USA continues Juliette’s legacy today by enabling girls to grow into responsible, caring, independent citizens.

GSLE is the leading organization for leadership development of girls, grades K through 12, in 23 parishes of southeast Louisiana. Chartered by the Girl Scouts of the USA, in 2018 GSLE served over 10,000 girls, with 4,700 adult members.
