RECYCLED POLIESTER
POLYESTER....AND RECYCLED! Polyester has become the most widespread synthetic fiber in the world of textiles. Its success is mainly due to its exceptional characteristics of high elasticity, resistance to wear and tear, to chemical and biological agents, as well as good dyeability. More than 68% of the textile fibers on the market are of synthetic origin (polyester, polypropylene, nylon, etc.) and greatly contribute to pollution from microplastics.
Today polyester can be recycled and reused - and this is an important first step towards reducing environmental impact. Unlike other materials that are discarded after their use, polyester can be recycled over and over again. State-of-the-art technologies allow de-polymerization and other processes that are key to produce brand-new polyester materials with properties compatible with virgin products.
Recycled Polyester fabrics in the I PRONTI 20/25 collection are weaved with yarns made of polyester from plastics or old garments and fabrics, combined with soft cotton. Combining the qualities of these two fibers results in a practical, comfortable and at the same time very resistant fabric, suitable for intensive use, easy-care and durable. Our suppliers are certified, meaning that they apply strict rules during recycling. Recycled Polyester is a sustainable alternative to other types of synthetic fabrics.
