Create Legacy through Food
Across the Filipino diaspora, adobo is the heart of our culinary legacy. Adobofest celebrates the power of storytelling and continuing legacy through the Philippines’ most iconic dish.
At the Adobofest celebration, young chefs will bring their pre-prepared adobo dish to share their family’s story and recipe, and compete with one another to be scored by a panel of esteemed Filipino chefs in Chicago.
Adobofest Challenge 2023

Contestants will compete under three categories: ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE SCHOOL, and HIGH SCHOOL to prepare and share their take on the beloved adobo recipe.
They can pay tribute to their family’s heritage, or get creative and innovate the adobo with their families in mind.
Judges will score on a rubric of taste and flavor, uniqueness, presentation, etc.
