Lovien “Joey” Flores Lovien “Joey” Flores is a versatile performer and impassioned poet. Her memorable roles on stage include the pacifist butch from Sister OutLaw (Pintig), the supermom in My Asian Mom (A-Squared), and the frazzled health worker in Caregiver (Circa). In fact, her unfailing, wonderful sense of humor imbues each character with a playfulness that Joey is also known for in real life. However, if truth be told, the roles she plays with aplomb, as family and friends will attest, are those of reliable friend/sister/daughter/spouse and mama bear.
Green Stalk The street noise of Queens, New York forms a rhythmic backdrop for a Filipina video clerk whose life of quiet isolation is disrupted by an older woman. https://vimeo.com/56434994
Desireena Almoradie Desireena Almoradie was born in Manila and has lived in NYC since the age of 11. In her works, she explores collective history and the representation of marginalized communities specifically pertaining to LGBT and people of color. She studied film and interactive media at New York University. She was nominated for an Emmy and won a GLAAD Media Award for her work on In the Life (PBS). She co-founded the Diverse Filmmaker’s Alliance (DFA), a collective of award-winning filmmakers from all backgrounds working to diversify the filmmaking landscape. She currently makes her home in Washington Heights, also known as upstate New York City, with her partner Niamh, dog Addie, and last but not least, baby Cillian.
Christina "Ling" Quisumbing Ramilo examines and reimagines objects and their contexts through comprehension of material and site-specificity. Her artistic practice involves an interest in and respect for the life and history of objects. Often using unconventional materials (construction discards, architectural fragments, casts, recycled paper), and utilizing objects themselves as material (mirrors, bottles, old frames, clothing), most of which have been collected for years, she constructs the works in parts over long periods of time, never completely finished. Conferred with titles that employ wit and humor, they ultimately express her personal poetry.Ramilo lives and works in the Philippines as an artist, curator, and educator.

Other major acting credits include Stanley Kowalski from A StreetCar Named Desire, Felix from The Normal Heart, Eddie Fuseli from Golden Boy, and Granillo from Rope. Your struggle is our struggle! Your liberation is our liberation! Speak out & stand up against injustice!
We from Circa-Pintig stand in solidarity with our black brothers and sisters in their struggle against systemic racism brought upon by our society’s structural problem of inequality and injustice towards people of color. While we share struggles on many fronts, we acknowledge as part of the larger Filipino-American community that we should do more in combating biases and anti-blackness within our own immigrant communities. The deaths of black and brown people at the hands of the police recalls the thousands of Filipinos who have suffered and died at the hands of Philippine police and military. As community artists we have and continue to use the arts to express our outrage of unjust systems. #BlackLivesMatter #CircaPintig
“We march on, though sometimes strange moods fill our children. Our march toward security and peace is the march of freedom—the freedom that we should like to become a living part of. It is the dignity of the individual to live in a society of free men, where the spirit of understanding and belief exists; of understanding that all men, whatever their color, race, religion or estate, should be given equal opportunity to serve themselves and each other according to their needs and abilities. But we are not really free unless we use what we produce. So long as the fruit of our labor is denied us, so long will want manifest itself in a world of slaves. It is only when we have plenty to eat—plenty of everything— that we begin to understand what freedom means. To us, freedom is not an intangible thing. When we have enough to eat, then we are healthy enough to enjoy what we eat. Then we have the time and ability to read and think and discuss things. Then we are not merely living but also becoming a creative part of life. It is only then that we become a growing part of democracy.” ― Carlos Bulosan
