SLR Camera
Brief: I have started photographing since I was 16. It was nothing better than take my SLR Camera, style my friends and spend all day taking photos and all night editing them. Response: Playing with different king of filtres added edgyness and mood to my photography. It helped me to explore and find my own style as an artist. Therse works I treated more like a peace of painting rather than photographs.

Creative Publication Brief: To produse a creative publication built around a core theme. It must include an evocative and inspiring creative writing which will compliment and augment the overall publication ‘s concept and include outstanding photography. The way it has changed over the years is fascinating and the POLAROID creative publication reveals a significant diference between vintage and modern unisex fashion. e-PR & Film Making Today people are more keen on seeing information rather then reading about it. As internet became so powerful and visuals are the key of it’s new language, images and video are likely to dominate this digital marketing scene. Therefore, brands are using them to tell their story and get a right customers on board.

Brief: Explore the challeges presented by fashion photography and styling. Response: Styling my own photography has helped me to build a great understanding about composition and colour. It trained my eye to see what would work well within frame of the photograph, even though it doesn’t always seem to be right in reality.

Black &White Photography Brief: An expoloration of black and white photography, one of the most popular monochrome forms of visual art. Response: All these shades of grey hold significant power to play with our mind and feelings. Photography in black and white is simply nostalgic, emotional and incredibly edgy. Key elements to focus while shooting in B&W: * Contrast * Exposure * Composition * Emotion
Photography by Gintare Prialgauskaite ŠPOLAROID Studio
I always try to edit my photos in B&W because some of the works are simply born to be in monochrome and cannot look better in any other edition.

Urban Jungle Brief: To produce a conceptual and styled photographic shoot. Response: Urban Jungle was inspired by the idea of people living crazy lifes without even realizing that. The model was styled in a huge fur cout and turned into a lost animal placed in the contemoporary busy city centre. Emotions and location became the main focus that helped to produce impactful imagery.

Studio Lighting Brief: To understand and use studio lighting to creare portaiture. To produce professional photographs in a studio using different lighting technics that help to form right shadows on model’s face. Response: I really enjoyed photography since I picked up a camera for the first time. However, very soon I realised that for a good photographer to know how to shoot in natural lighting is not enough. As a result, I’ve started searching for tutorials and useful articles about studio lighting technics. Once, I’ve got an image of how it works I was desperate to try it in practice. These images shows my very first attemts of doing that.

‘FACE MAP’ Photography by Gintare Prialgauskaite ©POLAROID Studio
FaceMap A personal project started in 2013 to reveal the unique cultural characters as well as external features typical to different nations. Brief: Globalisation is moving faster then ever and cultural identity seems to be forgotten within the next age. And it is great! We are all equal and with the same rights to live this world. However, as a nationality-based system is doomed to become simply a history, it is important to stop the moment today and capture this phenomenon in long lasting photography. Response: To take 50 portraits that are photographed in similar way and exhibit them in one of the fashion cities of the world to celebrate the significance of cultural identity and human being.
Brief:

It needs to steer away from the grungy look that has previously been associated with Terry de Havilland. Keywords: Luxury Stand-out Confidence Rock ‘n’ Roll cobbler London Attitude Target Audience: Affluent, aspirational, fashion conscious women who like to stand out and be noticed.
