Janice L. Carter !
February the month of love !aaahhh what can I say? Some people think love is over rated now a day. I think that the greatest love of all besides the man up stairs is the love you will have for yourself. With that said there is another special occasion Black history month, every month I try to learn something new and share something with you all. If anyone has anything to share about a black history fact, I truly would be interested in hearing about it. I hope you all enjoyed January anniversary month issue. It was loaded with 2011 memories and my way of saying “thank you”. It also symbolized my strive to maintain and desire to achieve a goal in my life. Also this month we suffered another great lost, Ms. Whitney Elizabeth Houston. A beautiful daughter, mother, and woman. An inspiration to many. It was amazing how most of the world took the news of her death. As I sat looking at Twitter, I eventually had to close it down. People can be so cruel at times. Farewell Ms. Houston your talent and beauty was truly appreciated and will be missed. As I do every month I want to thank you all for your support. Remember no dream or accomplishment is too small or too big! stay encouraged!

The Grapevine and all it’s literary appearances is the cultivation of misinformation founded and thus created by envy and/ or dislike. Remember that a mouth will say anything.

Cherish The Love‌ By: Frank Comer
The Black man and his strong attraction for the black woman and her conveyance of emotion and sensitivity create an indefinite feeling of respect and admiration. Sometimes we as black men are incapable of expressing deep feelings and are very insensitive to the natural Laws of attraction, therefore we have a tendency to take for granted the cornerstone of our existence (The Black woman) and explore other female ethnicities searching for companionship, or even passion that we deem as sincere and lovingly with each encounter, only to return to our place of origin (The Black woman) because we were in fact depriving ourselves of love during this journey of intimate association, a love that only she (The Black woman) could administer. The Black woman and her many shades of intoxicating flavors of deep dark chocolate, to the light brown sugary essence of her presence that is pleasing to anyone's eye, has her outstretched arms waiting to embrace a brother who's skin is the color of coffee, chocolate, or even caramel much like her own and wearing his masculinity as his shield. Both are a creation of strength, affection and sweetness embodied in this craving of mutual desires. Our minds become intense, overwhelmed with excitement, aroused by a longing or yearning to feel each other’s tenderness. The attraction is not solely based on sexual desires, but a connection of warmth, understanding and a relationship that has been repaired and refined, which now exist as a more sensitive, more emotional and a much more committed act of togetherness.

her talents and abilities, and Jemison spent considerable time in her school library reading about all aspects of science, especially astronomy. During her time at Morgan Park High School, she became convinced she wanted to pursue a career in biomedical engineering, and when she graduated in 1973 as a consistent honor student, she entered Stanford University on a National Achievement Scholarship. !
Initial Career Choice
Physician Mae C. Jemison was born October 17, 1956, in Decatur, Alabama. On June 4, 1987, she became the first African American woman ever admitted into the astronauttraining program. On September 12, 1992, Jemison finally flew into space with six other astronauts aboard the Endeavour on mission STS47. In recognition of her accomplishments, Jemison received several awards and honorary doctorates.
Early Life Astronaut, physician. Born October 17, 1956, in Decatur, Alabama, the youngest child of Charlie Jemison, a roofer and carpenter, and Dorothy (Green) Jemison, an elementary school teacher. Her sister, Ada Jemison Bullock, became a child psychiatrist, and her brother, Charles Jemison, is a real estate broker. The family moved to Chicago, Illinois, when Jemison was three to take advantage of better educational opportunities there, and it is that city that she calls her hometown. Throughout her early school years, her ! parents were supportive and encouraging of
At Stanford, Jemison pursued a dual major and in 1977 received a B.S. in chemical engineering and a B.A. in African and AfricanAmerican Studies. As she had been in high school, Jemison was very involved in extracurricular activities including dance and theater productions, and served as head of the Black Student Union. Upon graduation, she entered Cornell University Medical College to work toward a medical degree. During her years there, she found time to expand her horizons by visiting and studying in Cuba and Kenya and working at a Cambodian refugee camp in Thailand. When she obtained her M.D. in 1981, she interned at Los Angeles County/University of Southern California Medical Center and later worked as a general practitioner. For the next two and a half years, she was the area Peace Corps medical officer for Sierra Leone and Liberia where she also taught and did medical research. Following her return to the United States in 1985, she made a career change and decided to follow a dream she had nurtured for a long time. In October of that year she applied for admission to NASA's
astronaut training program. The Challenger disaster of January 1986 delayed the selection process, but when she reapplied a year later, Jemison was one of the 15 candidates chosen from a field of about 2,000.

Black Woman to Lead NASA Project to go Beyond the Solar System! ! Mae Jemison, the first black woman in space back in 1992, has been selected to lead a project to determine how human beings might be able to survive outside the solar system. Jemison is going to be the commander of the “100 Year Starship Project,” which will actually investigate the possibilities and implications of having a multigenerational mission outside the solar system. Jemison, who is now 55-years old, set up the 100 Year Starship Symposium last year. She did such a wonderful job that she was given another $500,000 contract to continue her research. The award was granted by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. Their objective is to determine what would be needed for an interstellar space mission. Jemison’s group, the Dorothy Jemison Foundation for Excellence, is based in Houston. They’ve joined forces with Icarus Interstellar the Foundation for Enterprise Development.!

she became an astronaut with the title of science mission specialist, a job which would make her responsible for conducting crew related scientific experiments on the space shuttle. On September 12, 1992, Jemison finally flew into space with six other astronauts aboard the Endeavour on mission STS47. During her eight days in space, she conducted experiments on weightlessness and motion sickness on the crew and herself. Altogether, she spent slightly over 190 hours in space before returning to Earth on September 20. Following her historic flight, Jemison noted that society should recognize how much both women and members of other minority groups can contribute if given the opportunity. Honors and Recognition In recognition of her accomplishments, Jemison received several honorary doctorates, the 1988 Essence Science and Technology Award, the Ebony Black Achievement Award in 1992, and a Montgomery Fellowship from Dartmouth College in 1993, and was named Gamma Sigma Gamma Woman of the Year in 1990. Also in 1992, an alternative public school in Detroit, Michigan - the Mae C. Jemison Academy - was named after her. Jemison is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Chemical Society, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and served on the Board of Directors of the World Sickle Cell Foundation from 1990 to 1992. She is also an advisory committee member of the American Express Geography Competition and an honorary board member of the Center for the Prevention of Childhood Malnutrition. After leaving the astronaut corps in March 1993; Jemison accepted a teaching fellowship at Dartmouth. She also established the Jemison Group, a company that seeks to research, develop, and market advanced technologies.
Is Love Winning?

I recently asked a few male friends of mines what was the meaning of love in their own personal opinion? One of my male friend's response to me was, "Love is unconditional…asking a person to be with one person for the rest of their life is conditional! " Yes ladies, buckle up and put your Galoshes on, these men are serious! Another guy said,” realistically if love was unconditional it would never end and it wouldn't hurt!” Summing it up with "Its a figure of your imagination, love is what ever and whenever you want it to be at that moment". Has the meaning of love become so superficial until it is almost nonexistent? Have people really given up on relationships and commitments? After a little over a year of focusing on this question, I realized the meaning of love has been drained, misused and abused! When it comes to this topic, men truly have a lot to say. Why? Could it be because for years men have been allowed to have their cake and eat it too? I was told to look around and find a successful relationship and that means one without infidelity. Sadly but true, I couldn't come up with one. (That's not to say there isn't any.) There were a lot of long-term relationships,
!
relationships, people who have stuck it out for decades. These couples admit to it not being easy and infidelity on one or either both parts. Some how managing to get through the rough times. In our generation it will not be many stories to tell, and in the generations to come it will be even fewer. After not being able to produce the evidence of a successful relationship, I was told the reason for that was because there is no such thing as a monogamous relationship. In a poll and an article I wrote last year about marriage, men whole heartily agreed that marriage was something they did to appease the woman. Men truly don't want to be married and this is the reason for unsuccessful marriages. I beg to differ with this statement, because you can't make a man do anything they don't want to do! It gets deeper; he goes on to say that traditional love is really a fairy tale that society wants you to believe in. Marriage is only sacred in ones mind and if you think about it, one man can't give a woman everything she wants and needs (and vise versa). As he tries to convince me that society has been programmed to believe that being monogamous is a way of life and how love has truly been a misunderstanding for centuries. People need to stop putting so much thought into and enjoy the moment with whoever, whenever and people will be so much happier. Its human nature one guy said, stop trying so hard to make it make sense! Losing emotions, feelings and energy over something you canʼt control because at the end of the day, this is unnecessary stress. Most of all stop letting people dictate what is right or wrong. Life is to short. Ok… for once I'm speechless. I canʼt tell you how many times I

heard "I love her but I'm not in love with her", after 23 years??? I think some men just don't know what is love. I asked myself, as a woman who is use to failed relationships, does it really make more sense to accept a piece of love than a possible love that can become of value? Than to invest and waste time on a title that has failed time and time again. Is it an unwritten validation now that who or what ever your heart or body lust after at that moment, will be excused? I think not. In fact I believe that we as women are devaluing ourselves more and more when it comes to men. Being frustrated with their games we are beginning to play them ourselves. Not realizing that this is a game that we will never win at. If we don't set standards men wont take it upon themselves to do so. The impatience to wait for love is contributing to our disappointment in the relationships we choose. Sad to say people are just opting out to quick, meaningless moments to avoid going through the uncertainties of a possible relationship. A cycle that will never end, if women began to realize their worth.!

The Origin And Purpose Of Black History Month By Frank Comer Carter Godwin Woodson, an American historian who created and organized the first negro week to focus on previously neglected aspects of Black experiences in the United States. He would help dismantle the obstacles that impeded Blacks from receiving equality, and restore a realm of dignity and pride. Carter Goodwin Woodson, chose February to coincide with the births of Friderick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln, both of whom were very instrumental with the emancipation of enslaved Black people, this also coincided with the anniversary of the founding of the NAACP. Negro week was renamed Black history week in (1972), the observance was then extended to become Black History month. During February, lectures, exhibitions, cultural events, and all media outlets celebrated the achievements of African Americans because they recognized the significance of these empowering individuals. Black History month continued to evolve. This observance has touched many people and provided a necessity to uplift and give Black people on immeasurable contribution about the past of Africans and African Americans who have struggled. Black History month is designed to create a sense of awareness and develop a consciousness with the hopes of strengthening the Black ! Community.

! prepared for dating. If you really want to succeed in the dating game, be ready to commit to Get dating. Half-heartedness won't work. In fact, it won’t even get you halfway. If you really want to date, put some effort into it. Do some research and think about what you want out of dating. Prepare yourself for the inevitable rejection we all face at some point in dating and commit not to give up.
•
Get your act together. Begin a regime of looking your best. Join a gym, read health magazines, get fit and start a diet. Get your hair cut or styled and begin a new regime of good grooming or beauty treatment. Though it will not find you a date in itself, you will feel a million times more confident about yourself, and others can sense that.
•
Go shopping and treat yourself to new clothes and even a whole new look. Get your image right, one that you can manage and live with, but one that flatters you. Don't try to be someone you’re not, but amplify and accentuate your positives. Throw out those tired jeans, old sweaters or cardigans and spruce yourself up. Your date will appreciate that you demonstrated some effort.
•
Think about what you want to gain from dating and what timeframes you expect. Do you see yourself married within 2 years? If you do, then approach dating accordingly. If you are more laid back and don't take dating too seriously then ask yourself some honest questions about why you are dating and what you hope to achieve. If it is purely sex then ask yourself if you are about to be honest with those you hope to date.
•
Surround yourself with people who will support your dating aims. By following the first four tips you will feel better and be more focused. Don’t sabotage this by sitting around with friends who are negative about love and relationships (often the married ones). Start attending social functions frequented by singles. Sitting alongside couples at dinner parties in suburbia is not necessarily where you need to be right now.
•
Choose those you have a good chance of dating. Be realistic. In other words, your dating is based on the whole package you present as well as just your personality. If you are looking for a glamour girl or boy and want to date someone trendy and gorgeous, great! Just know that others will expect you to be the same.
•
Join clubs, societies, sports events, and drama groups -- anything that might help you meet likeminded potential partners. You will not meet people by staying indoors and playing video games – many have tried and failed at this approach.
•
Take time off from dating occasionally if it’s not going well or causing dating fatigue. Recharging your batteries and keeping confidence and optimism levels high is an absolute must. We all hit rough patches, but don’t let your search for love become a death march. Date in phases if necessary.
•
Enjoy dating for what it is, dating. It is meeting people and socializing and spending time in the company of stimulating individuals who may or may not play a bigger part in your life down the road. The fact is, most people have something interesting to offer. While you may not be out on the dating scene looking for new friends, you may well find one or two fabulous people along the way.
•
Never make yourself too available. People like mystery and enigma and the thrill of the chase when dating. As part of keeping up the mystery, do not sleep with your dates early on. The longer a person is made to chase and fall for you within reason, the more likely that love may blossom. (And yes, this goes ! for both men AND women!) If the chemistry peaks too early, your emotions may never have time to catch up and the relationship will eventually wither away.

Double Standards or Double Talk?!
I recently had a conversation with the opposite sex. You know how that can be! Sometimes you don't want to acknowledge some of the crap that gets put out into the atmosphere. Double standards is nothing new between men and women but it is amazing how it seems to be applied like it is a life time rule or something. Ladies bear with me; no ladies open your mind and understand that you get what you except! Bottom line, if we don't draw a line somewhere, at some point of time double standards will never become a thing of the past. My friend expressed to me of having a wife and a girlfriend for years and there are no secrets between either. The wife is frustrated and wants the extra to stop but she loves her husband and refuses to leave her marriage. Some may look at it as refusing to let the other woman win. The girlfriend waits her turn and accepts whatever time she can get. It kind of makes you wonder is this what being in love and having a relationship has boiled down to? Settling for a piece of man rather than no man at all- (Betty Wright) But here's the catch the woman can't have another man. Neither woman. A man can’t and won't except this from a woman at all. If a woman choses to do her own thing on the side, the man behaves in a manner that is unrealistic. He will act as if he was the perfect man and the woman was 100% wrong to have a life outside of him and his wife and or girlfriend! But A Man Would Say! In truth there may be a lot wrong with this situation. That depends on how you look at it. 1st understand that the women involved in these situations are in complete control of their own actions. No one is being forced to participate and if you are then seek help or just leave. If a woman is choosing to accept another woman with her man then she is “ACCEPTING IT!” Women love to say “I will find somebody who likes it” then she should do just that. Find the one who likes or shares her relationship guidelines. She must find some redeeming quality in this man to “ACCEPT” what some women consider to be complete and total betrayal. So if you are “ACCEPTING” then please don’t complain constantly about it. And as for a woman having another man!Women are built differently than men. Not just physically. Women have emotions, feelings, and reasoning that men don’t and won’t ever have. For a woman to lessen herself by sleeping with multiple men isn’t in a REAL WOMAN’S DNA. I stress “REAL WOMAN” because her values are not tainted nor lured by society’s standards. That fact alone helps her realize that she is worth more than a multiple man lifestyle. The REAL WOMAN knows that what her love, heart, soul and body can offer are for the one man she chooses. These are not stupid women, but women who have found something that they obviously want and need. Therefore they are willing to make ' certain concessions or bend their rules so to speak to maintain want they want in their lives. And finally, yes men will act a certain way when a woman tries to have another man. Clearly this is hypocritical and a double standard but also a result of the basic laws of nature. A man is protective of what he considers his property or mate. Same in the wild. The female will only mate with the strongest male. So a man will sometimes act or say things to display his dominance. If the situation calls for a physical display then he should hope this is a serious relationship. Right or wrong no man wants his woman with another man. Right or wrong the women and men know what they are getting into. Now we have to address the women who entertain altercations between men also. That is where choosing the right woman to defend is key. If your woman is an advanced professional sexy type of flirt, men have to be careful. There are enough men in jail over their woman enticing another man and then expecting her man to fight to the death to defend her. But if a man is making unwarranted repeat advances then he should expect a confrontation with a REAL MAN! The fight actions may also be a result of the man’s cheating. This will make him have an elevated sense of wrong doing on his woman’s part because he knows how easy it is for him to get away with it. Women should know that the hypocritical part of a man won’t analyze their own wrong in this situation until it’s probably too late. This definitely depends on the type of man you are dealing with and the situation so no two are the same. !

Adeana Patterson Born January 22nd 1990 here in Columbus Ohio. I have 4 siblings on my mother’s !side and on my father's I'm 1 of 16! Yea I know poppa was a rolling stone. Growing up of course times were hard but my mother made a way out of no way. Unfortunately at the age of 5 I was taken away from my mother but she cleaned herself up and the state let her have her children back years later. I attended a performing arts middle school to take up dance and acting. Throughout high school I starred in numerous productions, shows and fundraisers. As an adult I've attended Wright state university for nursing ultimately returning to Columbus to continue my education at Fortis College. There I received my diploma for medical assisting and now taking my steps to become a registered nurse. In my spare time I still love to dance, write poetry as well as model. Anything to get on stage.
GT: What did you think of the Diva's Of Hip Hop Fashion Show? Adeana-The fashion show was amazing. This was the first time doing a fashion show and I had a great time. It was an opportunity to get myself out there and experience the buzz behind the closed doors of a production. GT: In one word how would you describe yourself and why? Adeana-one word that describes me would be: genuine. I'm me and that's all I can be. I'm a lady. I pick and choose my battles because everything isn't worth a fight. What you see is what you get. GT: During the fashion show were you nervous or a natural? Adeana-I was extremely nervous! Like I stated this was my first show so the whole walking down the runway, interacting with the males models during our lingerie theme, and flashing lights from the cameras. It was pretty overwhelming but once I got out there it became natural. GT: As far as being a model, are there any limitations you set for yourself? Adeana-I have little limitations as far as the creative side of a photo, or doing a show wearing paint. If I have to pose nude for a photo I will do so as long as it’s tasteful. I represent my family and I have to maintain class and be a lady at all times. GT: What were your thoughts when you were considering an outfit? Adeana-when I was choosing an outfit because I joined the show so late I didn't have a designer’s outfit to showcase, I jus thought of something that is me. I wanted to be comfortable and keep it tasteful as well as what compliments my body GT: Was there any outfit you second questioned yourself about and why? Adeana-For sure. I second-guessed all my outfits’ lol. My rock your style out fit came at a spare of the moment. At first I was going to wear some kind of army fatigue to express my tomboy side. I have a little edge to me. I can be a girlie girl but I'd choose to lounge in sweat pants and a tee shirt over anything. That's just me. GT: What is your goal for yourself in 2012? ! Adeana-my goal is to get out there and get this started. This was an experience that I will never forget. 2012 its gonna be me. I'm new on the scene but watch out. Shoots, shows, magazines. It’s a
GT: What's next for you as a runner up? Adeana-as a runner up, it has opened doors for me. Got a few emails from people who want to work with me. Mz. Liz and Christina are giving me an opportunity that I am truly grateful for. Helping me get my foot in the door. It’s just up to me now to do something with it. GT: Did the females involved in this fashion show support each other, or was it a on your own event? Adeana-there was a lot of help from the other girls. They helped with walks, turns, attitudes and dances moves. I believe we got along pretty well with it being so many females at one place at one time. It was a great turn out. GT: High heels can be difficult to wear especially for a long period of time, yet alone perform in them. Do you have any tips for up and coming models on how to work the stilettos? Adeana-HEELS! I'm flat foot and I didn't use to wear heels. You know how little girls play with their mom’s heels around the house? I played with G.I Joes. So this was something fairly new for me. Especially on the slick runway, and minor slip you may tumble. So it’s a for sure thing you have to practice your walk. Don't just think your walk is so on point you don't need to practice. Perfect your craft. Also I remember heel toe. Heel first then your toe. And above all KEEP YOUR BALANCE!!
Bithiah Ms'Jabrie Ivy : I go by Ivy; modeling is a hobby turned passion! I’m 25 years old! with 6months of culinary school left. GT: What did you think of the Diva's Of Hip Hop Fashion Show? Bithiah: the show was fun I enjoyed myself; I wasn’t sure what they were looking for as far as a hip hop diva!! But I’m glad I signed up because i think i did well for my first pageant. GT: In one word how would you describe yourself and why? Bithiah: wow! what’s one word to describe me?? I would have to say Determined; because once i set a goal I plan to conquer it! GT: During the fashion show were you nervous or a natural? Bithiah: during and before the show i was super nervous, just because that was my first pageant. GT: As far as being a model, are there any limitations you set for yourself? Bithiah: as a model I don’t really have any limits I view every opportunity as a stepping stone!! But I plan to KEEP MY CLOTHES ON!! GT: What were your thoughts when you were considering an outfit? Bithiah: he only outfit that I second-guessed was the "bedroom wear". Dating Tip of the Week One of the most important things you can do when deciding to date after a relationship has ended is to release your emotional baggage. Often times, due to past experiences and pain, we become overly jealous, suspicious of every man's intentions; have sex way too soon, and even say, "There are no good men left out there." But this is not true. Bringing emotional baggage into dating is pretty much a guarantee that the experience will not be a positive one. To release your emotional baggage, we must first stop running from our emotions and feel them, process them, and learn from them. Write it all down in a journal so you never forget what you've learned and have history repeat itself. You can also write "Forgiveness Letters" to those who have hurt you. Pour your heart out in these letters and then burn them. As the letter burns and the smoke carries away the negative energy, visualize all of the pain being carried away from your body as well. It's important to start every new dating experience fresh and with an open heart.

Rokki How To Get Everything You Want in 2012 Here's to a Happy New Year and to getting everything that you want out of 2012. Today you have a clean slate with a brand new year spread out in front of you, filled with endless possibilities. Take the following and get all that you want out of 2012: 1) Use Your Imagination If you thought that imaginations were only valued in preschool, think again. Use your imagination to reprogram and manage your self image. You may have been exposed to self improvement strategies that tell you to 'act as if' or to 'fake it till you make it.' Those typically don't work because your self image is still the same. If you want to lose 50 pounds, you first have to think of yourself as someone 50 pounds lighter. Spend time in your imagination. See yourself 50 pounds lighter. Experience a day in your life at this slimmed down size. Imagine everything down to the smallest detail. Imagination time will begin to change your self image to that of a person 50 pounds lighter, and your actions and habits will fall into place. 2) Reject Negative Thoughts Negative thoughts will undoubtedly arise as you use your imagination to see your ideal self. "I'm not really going to lose 50 pounds." "I've tried losing weight before and it never works. I'm always going to be overweight." "This imagination stuff is bogus. It won't work for me." The instant you receive a negative thought simply dismiss it. Don't spend any time on it at all. The quicker that you dismiss negative thoughts, the less impact they will have on your self image. Also you'll find that fewer and fewer negative thoughts arise once you get into the habit of dismissal. 3) Rid yourself of the Nay Sayer’s That’s right get rid of the people who are not supportive of your efforts and surround yourself with a positive supporting team. In your imagination you've already lost the 50 pounds, so start pining for the future! Your self image will lock onto that picture and start to take action, and move toward your goal. 4) I'm The Kind Of Person That! What kind of person are you? ! I'm the kind of person that loves sweets. ! I'm the kind of person that hates exercise. ! I'm the kind of person that can't lose weight. OR ! I'm the kind of person that eats fresh and healthy food. ! I'm the kind of person that keeps fit. ! I'm the kind of person that maintains an ideal body weight. Your self image will fulfill any label that you put on yourself. The power is all in your hands. What kind of a person do you want to be in 2012? If losing weight is something you'd like to do this year, then call or email to set up a consultation. I'm the kind of person who LOVES to see clients like you achieve their goals! February 2012
Capricorn Horoscope (Dec. 21-Jan. 20): Once again check your finances, create a budget with your partner, maintain the savings account, and exchange ideas concerning the best way to use (and not misuse) the resource called money. You may have to reorient all previous financial dealings. This can be done by creating a Plan for the future. It's a vehicle. Mercury can help. Aquarius Horoscope (Jan. 21-Feb. 18): Something undercover is coming up for air. It may feel hard, but in the end it will provide you with more personal freedom. You'll be working hard to create new endeavors both professionally and socially. New friends are about to knock on your door and should food be an issue, choose eating and not fasting. Orange foods are appropriate as is wearing that color, too. Friendship rules. Pisces Horoscope (Feb. 18-March 20): Absorbing great qualities of information will expand your already absorbable mind and should the study prove difficult at first, later it will be easier than you expected. View life with a big picture mentality, and all the parts and pieces will fall into place. Professionally you will broaden into new endeavors. Listen to no one who says, "No." Only you know what's best. Aries Horoscope (March 21-April 20): You will revisit previous ideas on how you want to be recognized in the world and you will find them failing in enthusiasm. This is good. Go home and think new things now. Find someone who listens well and talk about art, culture, and beauty. Find Roerich paintings on the Web or in bookstores. You need new music, too. And a long-awaited field trip to parts unknown. Invite another. Taurus Horoscope (April 21-May 21): Not only will you encounter past lovers on a sidewalk somewhere (have you yet?) but other, more subtle things will occur that stimulate the more passionate side of you and provide existing love relations with a greater intensity (intimacy, which doesn't always include sex). Money is an attractive issue along with other, till now, unearthed psychological issues. The phoenix is burning. Gemini Horoscope (May 23-June 20): Past work issues proliferate and shadowy encounters occur reflecting previous behaviors with coworkers. Enemies could come a'haunting prior to Halloween. You'll have to try and create a balance here between past and present, and present and future. Three points of a triangle. One point is the neutralizer. Which is it and how do you create Right Human Relations? You'll want to know this because you want peace. Peace is a byproduct. Cancer Horoscope (June 21-July 20): The only thing you can do with Venus now is work hard on making your work environment a place of color, light, and beauty. Relationships may confront you, difficulties may mishandle you, and problems may arise unclearly. You can handle all of this through discussion, good health, and being excessively practical. Nothing's romantic. Everything's ! work.
! Leo Horoscope (July 21-Aug. 22): You might not have any self-discipline, fun you will seek everywhere, the air around you is filled with light molecules, and children think you've come from heaven. Nothing attracts you unless it's creative and art will be found everywhere. This is an extremely unusual time with Venus hovering above you like the Soul star. Nothing about you will surrender. And it shouldn't. Can we meet in a museum somewhere with Calder's mobiles suspended as if in flight? Virgo Horoscope (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): As the days unfold you will feel more and more peaceful. Quiet minutes, hours, and days will ease previous month's stresses. You may enjoy this time alone or with intimates. You won't assert yourself, won't go out much, and others may think you've become internal, withdrawn and shy. Elegance plays a part here, too, as you consider how your home looks from that sophisticated lens. Sensitivity makes you wear midnight blue. Libra Horoscope (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Social aspects, talking a lot, surrounding yourself with people, plans, and activities, all for fun and pleasantry occupies your waking hours. You might discover, in this social milieu, that people actually love you. Hopefully both you and they will communicate this reality. Imagination doesn't talk so you'll have to. It's a good time to peruse art objects and/or things you find beautiful. Keep receipts. Scorpio Horoscope (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): The eclipse finds you balancing all sorts of values -- even some you don't know about. Let's concentrate on you now. There's a great need to ask yourself what nurtures you. What values give you sustenance and embrace your quality of life for the present and for the future? This is the core of the eclipse and before change occurs you'd best ponder these questions and find answers. That's enough for now. Later it's you and others. Sagittarius Horoscope (Nov. 22-Dec. 20): You will express yourself with greater ease and willingness. This is because you aspire to relate to others in a way that they recognize your warmth, enthusiasm and love. You will do whatever it takes so controversy doesn't occur. Making peace with others will be your main focus. Remember peace is an outcome of Right Human Relations. And Right Human Relations is an outcome of intentional Goodwill. Think on this.
