Powering Community 2021 Annual Report

A Message from Board President Sidney Dillard and CEO Nancy Wright

In a world challenged by an unrelenting pandemic, inequities, social restlessness, uncertainty, and fear, Girl Scouts prioritized girls’ social, emotional, and mental wellness. We stepped up to help them navigate the ups and downs of remote learning, the continued disappointment of suspended school activities, and the burden of society’s collective stress.

Our focus was to give girls what they needed.

For some girls, that meant finding connections with other girls via Zoom. For others, it meant stepping into the outdoors to explore, breathe, and laugh again. It meant seeing past the chaos to focus on solving community issues and helping others.

In fiscal year 2021, Girl Scouts GCNWI offered a spectrum of innovative programs and experiences, training and resources for adult mentors, and opportunities to connect and belong.

This year’s annual report captures our indefatigable spirit, financial savvy, resourcefulness, and joy as we carried out our mission despite the odds. Celebrate with us as we recognize the caring individuals, corporations, foundations, and alums who partnered with us to provide a safe space for girls when they needed it most.

We are forever grateful. Thank you.
