Camp CEO

“The event was full of activities and challenges. I liked having all the mentors rotate, reflecting and writing future plans/ goals, listening to and being inspired by the guest speakers, and in general making connections and building my network. After CAMP CEO, it motivated me to build my connections and put myself out there (just a bit) and that it’s okay to brag about myself sometimes!”

Camp & Outdoors | Resilient, Ready, Strong

In 2022, Girl Scouts got outdoors! We all wanted to be back outside with each other, and throughout the entire year Girl Scouts experienced hikes, campfires, snowshoeing, high adventure, canoeing, hiking, and more! In addition, Girl Scout troops chose our camps to come together for a variety of fun day, overnight, and weekend events and reservations.

During the summer, we saw camp return to Camp Juniper Knoll after a two-year hiatus. We also saw the return of international staff, who bring their experiences and culture to share with our campers as well as help support our overall mission of getting girls outdoors.

GCNWI’s outdoor programming featured a variety of fun, challenging, and experiential activities that empowered girls as they develop values, skills, and behaviors essential to effective leadership in the outdoors.

Testimonials

“Our daughter has tried out a smorgasbord of camps this summer and based on her reaction I can tell that Camp Greene Wood blew them all away. Every day she came home and had so much awesomeness to talk about. Her friends, her counselors, the games, the songs, you name it! So, THANK YOU for taking on the heat and humidity, the sun and the rain, the bugs and the sweat and the crazy dropoff/pickup line. Your team made magic all week for your campers, especially mine!”

“As our final week of camp wraps up, I don’t know how to begin to thank you all. We have watched our daughter beam with confidence this summer in endless new ways. We are so grateful for the amazing camp experience that you all work incredibly hard to create!!”
