Teen Workshops
Gold Award and Take Action Project’s Round table This workshop is for girls who are just getting started or are experiencing difficulty in pursuing the Girl Scout Gold Award. Or maybe the girls want help with a Take Action Project idea. During this brainstorming session, we will help you sort out your thoughts and choose an issue to explore, helping you move forward in planning out your project. Free To Be Me There are no such thing as flaws, just parts that make each of us unique and wonderful. “Free To Be Me” gives the tools to help individuals develop confidence to love and respect themselves. Every individual deserves to feel empowered. But first, they must believe in themselves and confidence is the key to allowing this to happen. This workshop helps individuals to find this strength and confidence through discussing what confidence is and how we obtain it through health and fitness, goal setting, and contributing to the world around us.
Volunteer Recognition Luncheon
Annual Business Meeting
At the Recognitions Luncheon, we will honor our very special volunteers with a very special presentation! Nominations have been numerous this year, and we have many surprises in store! We’ll also be honoring our volunteers with 15 or more Years of Membership and Years of Service. Guest speaker and Gold Award Recipient, Connie Miller, CEO of Icon Credit Union, will lead us into a Gold Award Honoree panel discussion.
Teen Annual Conference goers will hear AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) share how they strengthen communities and develop leaders through direct, team-based national and community service. Teens will then participate in a special ‘Farewell’.
