Dalla mattina fino a notte inoltrata, la Rai sarà con gli appassionati del ciclismo, senza lasciarli mai soli. Una programmazione ancora più ampia, per un prodotto che possa finalmente accontentare tutti, amanti delle dirette e sonnambuli. E se già nel 2021 la produzione aveva offerto tappe no stop, in questa edizione la Rai e Rai Sport proporranno trasmissioni di presentazione della giornata, le tappe integrali, lo storico Processo alla Tappa, fino ad arrivare, intorno alla mezzanotte, alla riproposizione della giornata, dal primo all’ultimo km. Si partirà con “Aspettando il Giro” e si andrà avanti con “Prima Diretta”, “Giro in diretta”, “Giro all’arrivo”, il “Processo alla Tappa”, “Arriva il Giro”, alle 20 e “Km 0”, alla mezzanotte. I canali dedicati alle trasmissioni saranno Rai 2 e Rai Sport+ HD. A questi, Rai e Rai Sport proporranno tutti i giorni le dirette in streaming con segnali dedicati che gli utenti potranno scegliere. Basterà collegarsi con la pagina web Rai dedicata al Giro d’Italia. Saranno quattro i commentatori: il telecronista Francesco Pancani, un tecnico dedicato alla tattica e alla tecnica, Alessandro Petacchi, un esperto del gruppo, Giada Borgato, e Fabio Genovesi, scrittore, fine conoscitore della storia e della cultura italiana. A loro, come sempre, si aggiungerà il commento dalla corsa con due cronisti in moto. Insomma, tante novità per rendere ancora più accattivante e interessante la corsa a tappe più amata dagli italiani.

ASPETTANDO IL GIRO (RAISPORT+ HD, IN ONDA UN’ORA PRIMA DELLA PARTENZA DI OGNI TAPPA) La trasmissione, in onda su Rai Sport+ HD, vivrà i 60 minuti che precedono il via di ogni tappa in tutti i suoi aspetti: l’emozione, le Thanks to an even richer schedule that caters to everybody’s needs, from live race enthusiasts to night owls, cycling fans will enjoy non-stop race coverage, from early morning to late at night. The full broadcast schedule, aired on Rai 2 and Rai Sport+ HD, will include “Aspettando il Giro”, “Prima Diretta”, “Giro in diretta”, “Giro all’arrivo”, “Processo alla Tappa”, “Arriva il Giro” at 8:00 pm, and “Km 0” at midnight. Moreover, Rai and Rai Sport will provide live streams through dedicated signals that the users may choose by simply browsing the Giro d’Italia page on Rai’s website. Francesco Pancani will be the main commentator, Alessandro Petacchi will be the analyst discussing strategy and technique, Giada Borgato will be the peloton expert, while the journalist Fabio Genovesi will provide valuable knowledge about Italy’s culture and history. As usual, additional live in-race insights will be provided from the two reporters’ motorcycles This whole batch of new features is bound make this epic stage race even more thrilling and compelling.

speranze e i timori dei corridori, l’atmosfera, i colori e i profumi del Villaggio allestito in prossimità dei fogli firma, la cultura, la storia dei luoghi che ospitano le partenze, le tattiche, gli spunti e i possibili sviluppi della corsa. Condurrà Tommaso Mecarozzi con l’inossidabile Beppe Conti. Previsti collegamenti con Umberto Martini, che raccoglierà le voci dei protagonisti, Ettore Giovannelli, che cercherà di raccontare le località, Andrea De Luca, che proverà a svelare le tattiche delle squadre nelle interviste dei pullman e Antonello Orlando che invece, direttamente dagli arrivi, ci presenterà gli ultimi chilometri della tappa.

GIRO IN DIRETTA E GIRO ALL’ARRIVO (RAI2 DALLE 14:00 ALLE 17:15 CIRCA) Alle 14.00 in punto si cambia canale, si lascia Rai Sport+ HD e si passa su Rai 2. Francesco Pancani, Alessandro Petacchi, Giada Borgato e Fabio Genovesi racconteranno i circa 120 km conclusivi, quelli decisivi e si avvarranno della preziosa collaborazione in corsa delle moto cronaca. Umberto Martini, sulla linea d’arrivo, raccoglierà le impressioni a caldo dei protagonisti.

IL PROCESSO ALLA TAPPA (RAI 2, DALLE 17:15 CIRCA ALLE 18:00) Subito dopo la conclusione della telecronaca, la linea passerà direttamente allo storico “Processo alla Tappa”. Tommaso Mecarozzi will be the host, with Beppe Conti as his co-host. The two will be supported by a team of ‘field reporters’. Umberto Martini will be interacting with the key players of the day, Ettore Giovannelli will provide insights about the stage locations, Andrea De Luca will interview the teams at the paddocks, trying to figure out their possible strategies, and Antonello Orlando will report from the finish line on the closing phases of the stage.

PRIMA DIRETTA (RAISPORT+HD UNTIL 2:00 PM) The stage feed will be running live and nonstop again this year, as in 2021, from the first through the last kilometre, aired on RaiSport+ HD. From their commentary position, the four sportscasters will be leading the audience through the live action of the race, all the way to the high point.

GIRO IN DIRETTA and GIRO ALL’ARRIVO (RAI2 FROM 2:00 PM TO APPROX. 5:15 PM) At 2:00 pm sharp, the action will switch from Rai Sport+ HD to Rai 2. Francesco Pancani, Alessandro Petacchi, Giada Borgato and Fabio Genovesi will narrate and illustrate the final and decisive kilometres of each stage (120 or so), with valuable in-race insights from the reporters’ motorcycles. Reporting from the finish line, Umberto Martini will ask the riders for their thoughts on the spot.

“Processo” Alessandro Fabretti, insieme con Stefano Garzelli e in alternanza le quattro campionesse del ciclismo femminile italiano, Elisa Balsamo, Elisa Longo Borghini, Marta Bastianelli e Tatiana Guderzo, esamineranno la frazione appena conclusa e lo faranno con i protagonisti della corsa, ciclisti, tecnici, giornalisti accreditati, ognuno con la propria tesi da difendere ed il proprio punto di vista. Tattiche di corsa e moviola in realtà aumentata, social e collegamenti esterni renderanno la trasmissione fruibile a tutti, appassionati e non.

ARRIVA IL GIRO (RAISPORT+ HD DALLE 20:00) Per chi non avesse potuto seguire la tappa in diretta, alle 20:00 andrà in onda Arriva il Giro, trasmissione che in 60 minuti riassumerà l’intera giornata. Interviste, cronaca e commenti della giornata appena conclusa.

KM 0 (RAISPORT+ HD DALLE 00:00) Nessuno dovrà mai perdersi un solo minuto di Giro d’Italia. Per questo, abbiamo pensato di riproporre la tappa dall’inizio alla fine, dal km 0 all’ultimo km. A partire dalla mezzanotte.

SOCIAL NETWORKS Anche quest’anno Rai Sport punterà molto sui social (twitter, Instagram e Facebook). Sarà una copertura totale. Sono previste dirette, rubriche inedite e numerosi appuntamenti quotidiani. Sarà importante l’interrelazione con il pubblico. Il Giro Rai di quest’anno sarà il più social di sempre.

ARRIVA IL GIRO (RAISPORT+ HD STARTING FROM 8:00 PM) At 8:00 pm, Arriva il Giro will offer a 60-minute summary of race day for those who could not follow the stage live, with interviews, reports and commentaries.

KM 0 (RAISPORT+ HD STARTING FROM 00:00) As we don’t want anybody to miss a single minute of the Giro d’Italia, we have chosen to replay the entire stage, from the start to the finish, from km 0 to the last kilometre. Tune in at midnight!

SOCIAL NETWORKS This year as well, Rai Sport will make large use of the social media (twitter, Instagram and Facebook) to ensure full coverage of the event with live feeds, new features and daily shows, and great emphasis will be placed on audience interaction and engagement. This year’s Giro will be the most ‘social’ event of all time.
