PRIMARY STRUCTURE STEEL MEMBERS 1. UNIVERSAL BEAM 250 UB 31: Primary roof load bearing member. Load is transferred to Structural Column (200 UC 46)
8
2. UNIVERSAL COLUMN
12.2
150 UC 31: Column is used as a bearer. Load is transferred to SHS column (100 x 6 SHS)
3. PURLINS S Section:
5.1
The S Section carries the load of the roof to be transferred to the beams. The purlins also carries the load of the suspended ceiling finish.
SECONDARY STRUCTURE
12.1
STEEL MEMBERS 5.3
4. BRACING Non load bearing members that supports the primary structure.
5.4
4.1. Tension Rod: Trasferring large force accross the roof with minimum material. Rods are welded to plates connected to primary structures.
9 5.5 5.2
4.2. Diagonal Bracing (75x10 EA):
8
Provides lateral stability to the supported member (250 UB 31). Also provides strength for the roof to resist suction from wind pressure. The EA here is bolted to a cleat that is welded into the facade.

5. ROOF TRUSS
Frames the facade of the building.
5.1. PFC (180 PFC):
2
Frames the roof truss. Framing member. Connections are mostly achieved by bolting.
5.2. Equal Angle (75x10 EA):
7
Frames the truss. Welded to the PFC. Framing is done vertically and diagonally
5.3. Universal Column (150 UC 30): Connects the Roof truss to the primary members. UC is welded to the PFC as a framing member. Primary members are connected through welding cleats to the UC
4.1
5.4. Top Hat Section:
3
Connects the facade finish to the truss.
5.5. C Section: Secondary framing members.
6. EAVES Overhanging members welded to the roof truss
6.1. EA Outrigger (75x10 EA):
4.2
Frames the eavevs. Welded to the roof truss.
6.2. SHS: Frames the eaves. Welded to the EA.
6.3. Metal subframing:
To achieve the form of the finish.
