I N T R O D U C T I O N This journal is arranged to show the progress to achieve the final result: Presence. From sketches, notes (from books, presentation critics and lectures), to final pin-up; it is shown that troughout the learning process a pleasure estate is created to suit the original brief of having a total celebration of the Australian landscape by being present. All are achieved by the refinements from the initial group forms, then the creation of the elements, adjusting the landscape and embeding the structure into the landscape.

P E R S P E C T I V E S Seeing through the eyes of the users.

W I T H I N Interior spaces are designed to blur the inside and outside by arousing the senses. From the scent of timber, the sound of the rustling leaves to the movement of the branches visible through the glass opening. The inside has been transformed into a stage for the performance of the landscape.

T H I R D S K I N The third skin: the building. An abstraction of the Australian vernacular shed housing. The use of dark carbonised timber creates a group of formless structure, acting as a dark background for the landscape to perform. The dark timber is also used to celebrate the history of bushfires in the continent.

L A N D S C A P E A celebration of the Australian Landscape. Through weaving man-made landscape into the natural site, it creates a dramatic landscape that adheres to the Australian context. Through this, circulation is manipulated to distinguish the public and the private. A total celebration is achieved from using native plant species, to creating a natural pool that blurs the boundary between the built and the natural.
