IL PREMIO SUZZARA La prima edizione del Premio, promossa dal comune di Suzzara, ebbe luogo tra l’agosto e il settembre del 1948. Si trattava di una mostra, inaugurata il 22 agosto, organizzata per invito di alcuni artisti e per accettazione di altri, che dovevano sottoporre le loro opere al giudizio di una giuria. The first edition of the award, promoted by the municipality of Suzzara, took place between august and september 1948. It was an exhibition inaugurated on august 22nd, oganized by invitation of some artists and by acceptance of others, who had to submit their works at the judgment of a jury.
Villani e Zavattini idearono il concorso come uno scambio simbolico tra lavoro culturale e lavoro contadino: gli artisti vincitori ricevevano prodotti della terra ed in cambio cedevano le loro opere alla collezione comunale. Villani e Zavattini conceived the competition as a symbolic exchange between cultural work and peasant work: the winning artists received products of the earth and in exchange gave their works to the municipal collection.
50° PREMIO SUZZARA Il Premio Suzzara in corso ha una struttura laboratoriale che coinvolge le aziende del territorio impegnate a produrre opere d’arte come bene comune allo scopo di caratterizzare attraverso l’arte contemporanea il distretto industriale di Suzzara. E si sviluppa proprio sui presupposti espressi da uno dei fondatori, Cesare Zavattini che come presentazione del primo catalogo nel 1948 scrisse:
“Questo premio che Dino Villani ha inventato e che i Suzzaresi faranno prosperare tra le loro braccia generose, è il più bel premio del mondo, concreto, allegro, pieno di speranza. Il Premio inventato nel 1948 si pone come una “opera pubblica” e

essere
accessibile
ad una grande platea, entrando in contatto con persone molto diverse tra loro. E’
proprio
sulle
linee
che
accompagnano la storia del Premio iniziata più di 70 anni fa, confluita poi nell’istituzione museale, che si colloca la Trailer Gallery. Attraverso
la
collaborazione
con l’azienda Realtrailer l’artista Hannes Egger allarga il Premio e lo
“mette in movimento”. The Premio invented in 1948 stands as a “public work” and wants to be accessible to a large audience, coming into contact with very different people. It is precisely on the lines that accompany the history of the Prize that began more than 70 years ago, then merged into the museum institution, which houses the Trailer Gallery. Through collaboration with the Realtrailer company the artist Hannes Egger widens the Premio and “puts it in motion”.

Il Premio giunge così in luoghi dove non è mai stato prima: nelle aziende, in periferia, nelle scuole e in altre città. Egger ha chiesto ai dipendenti dell’azienda Realtrailer – ditta che importa i semirimorchi Krone – di scegliere opere rappresentative della collezione del Museo Galleria del Premio Suzzara ma anche del proprio lavoro legato ai trasporti, per allestire, tramite una trasposizione in immagine su teli, un trailer aziendale vuoto, trasformandolo così in uno spazio espositivo mobile.

Egger asked the employees of the company Realtrailer - a company that imports the Krone semi trailers - to choose representative works from the collection of the Premio Suzzara Gallery Museum but also from their own work related to transport, to set up, through an image transposition on sheets, a empty company trailer, thus turning it into a mobile exhibition space.

La prima fase ha previsto il sopralluogo conoscitivo da parte dell’artista Hannes Egger in Realtrailer, e tramite un breafing iniziale fissare gli obiettivi e i punti fermi dell’azione d’arte contemporanea. The first phase involved the cognitive inspection by the artist Hannes Egger in Realtrailer, and through an initial briefing set the goals and fixed points of the action of contemporary art.

Il breafing per la definizione del nome dell’opera ha riunito tutto il team di Realtrailer con l’artista Hannes Egger e si è giunti al titolo TRAILER GALLERY, per marcare la matrice di trasporto unita alla caratteristica di raccolta artistica tipica della galleria. The briefing for the definition of the name of the artwork brought together the whole Realtrailer team with the artist Hannes Egger and came to the title TRAILER GALLERY, to mark the transport matrix combined with the characteristic art collection typical of the gallery.
Successivamente si è deciso per la dicitura ‘Premio Suzzara in movimento ’ da apporre come sottotitolo per chiarire la volontà di artista ed azienda di diffondere l’opera, spostandola e visitando scuole, piazze, aziende e musei. TA P PA 0 1 FIRST STOP Il viaggio dell’opera Trailer Gallery è iniziato nei giorni tra il 5 e l’8 Settembre 2019, in occasione dell’evento ‘Signori, in lettura! Da Dino Villani e Giovanni Guareschi, passando per Cesare Zavattini’ nella città di Brescello. Il semirimorchio dell’azienda Krone è stato esposto in Piazza Matteotti, durante l’evento che vedeva come protagonista la tratta Suzzara-Brescello con il treno del celebre Don Camillo.

The journey of the Trailer Gallery artwork began in the days between 5 and 8 September 2019, on the occasion of the event “Gentlemen, reading! From Dino Villani and Giovanni Guareschi, passing by Cesare Zavattini ’in the city of Brescello. The Krone semi-trailer was exhibited in Piazza Matteotti, during the event that saw the Suzzara-Brescello route as the protagonist with the train of the famous Don Camillo.
