KÖMMERLING’S NEW TECHNICAL DIRECTOR AND TEAM NEW QHSE MANAGER FOR ODL EUROPE

Andrew Charlesworth has been promoted to technical director for profine UK and KÖMMERLING, having been with the business since July 2014. More recently, he has added to his department to further help support customers and to implement a new five-year product management plan for the business.

Helping support customers across the UK for the Evolve, KÖMMERLING, Legend and WarmCore brands are John Berry, Steve Holloway, Tony Ward and Simon Coleman who combined, have over 166 years’ experience in the industry between them. Internally the R&D/Product Management function is also supported by Phil Brown, R&D and product management manager, along with Kevin Wain as lead designer, with a further graduate vacancy in the department yet to be filled. One of the key objectives from a design perspective will be to develop WarmCore further, into a complete and fully integrated product platform for the profine Group as a whole, who are already looking at export opportunities in other key markets. Andrew Charlesworth (centre) with the expanded team ODL Europe has appointed John Brady as Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) Manager. John joined the Bootle-based business back in November with a remit to improve the safety of all employees and site operations whilst overseeing the exacting quality standards of the company’s various product groups.

John, who was previously with Total Glass for thirty years, is ideally placed to head up the QHSE management operation to ensure compliance with all relevant standards is met and cultivating a workplace with purpose. Speaking on his appointment, John said:” I am delighted to have joined ODL Europe. They are an ambitious business with a clear direction for growth. FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER ELECTRICAL/MECHANICAL SERVICE ENGINEER

Reports To

The Field Service Engineer will report to Andy Parker Technical Director.

Job Overview

To undertake the installation, repair, and servicing of uPVC/ Aluminium window machinery. Must be able to work within our team of skilled engineers and help with the continuous improvement of our range of machines. Manage the repairs and installations so they are completed in a timely fashion. Must be a self-starter and able to work under their own initiative. Must be a good communicator.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Programming of machines. • Knowledge of PLC and servo systems inc diagnostics and servo set up procedures. • Installation of new machines. • Repair and servicing of new and reconditioned machines. • Training of customers once installation is complete. • Must be an all-rounder, an in-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. • A keen eye for detail is required. • A “can do” attitude. • Must be prepared to stay away from home at short notice.

Qualifications

• Ideally qualified to HND level or above in electro/mech discipline. • Experienced in field service role.

CAREERS DOUBLE DECADE SERVICE CELEBRATION AT CARL F GROUPCO

Carl F Groupco’s Regional Sales Team Leader Nathalie McKee and Purchasing Manager Lisa Davy have both celebrated ten years’ service for the hardware distributor. Nathalie and Lisa are the latest in a lengthy list of long servers for Carl F Groupco. During 2020, Credit Controller Edward Barnard also achieved the accolade and they join eighteen other Carl F Groupco employees who have passed the decade milestone.

In 2010, Nathalie joined the company as Sales Co-ordinator and was subsequently promoted to Regional Sales Team Leader. Nathalie enjoys her busy role managing the sales office team in the Peterborough head office, keeping customers updated regarding products and services; developing the internal sales team; preparing sales reports; taking responsibility for large customer accounts and liaising with customers. Nathalie says Carl F Groupco is a great company to work for: she emphasises the close teamwork, particularly during the pandemic where the organisation has pulled together to continue supplying essential hardware products. Lisa Davy also joined the company a decade ago after previously working for

YALE APPOINTS NEW MARKETING EXECUTIVE

Yale has appointed Lucy Hume as Marketing Executive, assuming responsibilities for day-to-day communications as part of the brand’s marketing team.

A recent first-class graduate in Business and Marketing from Birmingham City University, Lucy also brings previous marketing experience at a graphic and web design company to the role. Lisa also focuses on maintaining good relationships with suppliers. She is ably assisted by Bobbie-leigh Mckillop. Lisa observes that, over the last ten years, a major achievement for the company has been overcoming Brexit, twice - Lisa played a key role in ensuring stock levels were organised for the two major Brexit deadlines to safeguard supply of hardware throughout. The celebrations were marked by colleagues who extended their thanks and congratulations to Natalie and Lisa who were working from home at the time due to coronavirus restrictions.
