KÖMMERLING’S NEW TECHNICAL DIRECTOR AND TEAM Andrew Charlesworth has been promoted to technical director for profine UK and KÖMMERLING, having been with the business since July 2014. More recently, he has added to his department to further help support customers and to implement a new five-year product management plan for the business. Helping support customers across the UK for the Evolve, KÖMMERLING, Legend and WarmCore brands are John Berry, Steve Holloway, Tony Ward and Simon Coleman who combined, have over 166 years’ experience in the industry between them. Internally the R&D/Product Management function is also supported by Phil Brown, R&D and product management manager, along with Kevin Wain as lead designer, with a further graduate vacancy in the department yet to be filled. One of the key objectives from a design perspective will be to develop WarmCore further, into a complete and fully integrated product platform for the profine Group as a whole, who are already looking at export opportunities in other key markets.

ODL Europe has appointed John Brady as Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) Manager. John joined the Bootle-based business back in November with a remit to improve the safety of all employees and site operations whilst overseeing the exacting quality standards of the company’s various product groups. John, who was previously with Total Glass for thirty years, is ideally placed to head up the QHSE management operation to ensure compliance with all relevant standards is met and cultivating a workplace with purpose. Speaking on his appointment, John said:” I am delighted to have joined ODL Europe. They are an ambitious business with a clear direction for growth. FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

ELECTRICAL/MECHANICAL SERVICE ENGINEER Reports To The Field Service Engineer will report to Andy Parker Technical Director.

Job Overview To undertake the installation, repair, and servicing of uPVC/ Aluminium window machinery. Must be able to work within our team of skilled engineers and help with the continuous improvement of our range of machines. Manage the repairs and installations so they are completed in a timely fashion. Must be a self-starter and able to work under their own initiative. Must be a good communicator.

Responsibilities and Duties

Qualifications

• Programming of machines.

• Ideally qualified to HND level or above in electro/mech discipline.

• Knowledge of PLC and servo systems inc diagnostics and servo set up procedures.

• Experienced in field service role.

• Installation of new machines. • Repair and servicing of new and reconditioned machines. • Training of customers once installation is complete. • Must be an all-rounder, an in-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. • A keen eye for detail is required. • A “can do” attitude. • Must be prepared to stay away from home at short notice.
