INDUSTRY-LEADING WARM ROOF FABRICATION

Continuing this legacy, we employ revolutionary technology to continually better the Guardian Warm Roof system. Investing heavily in software for our fabricators, we have optimised custom project mapping and made it easier to order the materials through our online portal. Additionally, this software includes all the details needed for correct material marking and cutting, eliminating any guesswork.

Setting another industry first, Metrotiles can be pre-cut and coded to specification for each Guardian Warm Roof. This means the tiles can then be packed down in order and sent to the site for fast installation.

Distinctive structural composition

Although the “Skin-on-frame” structure of the Guardian Warm Roof isn’t unique, it includes a one-of-kind ridge and hip support composition that caters for more complex roof shapes. Moreover, we have further optimised the number of aluminium rafters needed in the Guardian Warm Roof, which also requires minimal cleats. All-in-all, this means operations can run on minimal machinery and you can reduce stock holding on the workshop floor.

Enhanced Fabrication Quality

Thanks to an expert team and years of development we have been able to reduce the overall fabrication time of the Guardian Warm Roof for our Certified Fabricators. Time savings equal faster turnarounds, however, this isn’t the only benefit. Certified Guardian Warm Roof Fabricators reduce their overall material waste and can economically pack away each roof ready for dispatch. Again, this frees up space in the workshop to start on the next roof and means labour resources can be better prioritised. Additionally, to beat supply chain issues, where possible, we manufacture products for our fabricators such as the Guardian Slates.

Superior end-to-end experience

Maintaining a focus on system quality and relationships with our fabricators, we can cultivate an exceptional end-to-end experience for our customers and end users. Through the Guardian Warm Roof certified fabricator and installer scheme, we support an enhanced level of service. First, with incoming leads, we have a dedicated UKbased customer care team that matches homeowners to fully vetted Certified Guardian Warm Roof Installers. Next, all our certified installers have undertaken extensive system training with us and their fabricators.

The cooperation with our Certified Fabricators means installers can easily log their projects, request the profiles and materials needed and gain fast approval through the LABC Partner authority scheme. This streamlined approach increases jobs and enables effective roof fabrication turnover so installers can receive everything they need in one drop. On-site, installers can complete the exterior of a Guardian Warm Roof in as little as 2 days, saving time, labour and material waste.

However, if an installer’s training or insurance is not up to date, they will be notified, and their verified status removed. Though severe, this action reinforces the consistency of each Guardian Warm Roof installation and protects the integrity of the fabricators. Finally, it adds value to the Certificate of Authenticity and 10-year workmanship guarantee that homeowners receive. Importantly, homeowners can trust their investment in the Guardian Warm Roof - as a fast, costeffective, energy-efficient product with unmatched quality of service.

In conclusion, Guardian Building Systems are industry-leading in its ground-breaking fabrication and installation processes. With superior production technology, you will be able to reduce your workshop footprint, minimise operation time and costs and rapidly increase your business offering.

Modplan Extends Its Leka Portfolio With The New Skylite

Leading trade fabricator Modplan has just extended its Leka portfolio with the new SKYLITE roof glass unit. Heidi Sachs, Modplan’s Managing Director, said: “The SKYLITE is the latest example of Leka’s clear understanding of the market’s needs. It adds even more value to an already compelling offer.”

The SKYLITE is a thermally efficient slimline glazed unit that brings additional light into a room and offers a flexible alternative to opening roof vents. Heidi commented: “The SKYLITE gives homeowners the best of both worlds. A thermally efficient roof and a light-filled space.”

The new SKYLITE is sunk into a Leka solid roof, creating a modern finish. The units can be engineered in bespoke heights and have a maximum width of 800mm.

The new unit gives homeowners a second option when it comes to skylights in their Leka roof, adding to the existing option of a stepped unit with perimeter glass coating that overhangs the roof tiles. Together, they give installers plenty of opportunity to design dramatic and stylish, modern spaces.

The Leka SKYLITE demonstrates the company’s intelligent innovation. Heidi said: “Our Leka products are very popular with installers because they tap into what the market wants. The Leka Warm Roof, Leka Orangery Roof and Leka Xi help homeowners create thermally efficient year-round spaces. The SKYLITE brings the additional advantages of maximised daylight and a clear sense of style, helping homeowners create the look and feel they want.”

The new addition to Modplan’s range demonstrates the company’s commitment to being a strong fabrication partner for installers. Alongside its Leka range, it also manufactures a wide range of window, door and conservatory products from its Newport headquarters.

Heidi concluded: “We’re passionate about keeping our finger on the pulse and adding value to installers’ businesses by offering a complete range of products that tap into all market trends and help them to stand out in a competitive market. The new Leka SKYLITE is the latest example of this commitment in action.”
