They are invited to the front for a children’s message in the Blended service. A nursery is provided for children 3 and under during the Sunday School and the Blended Service. Children’s Christmas Program practice will be December 12 & 19 from 10 a.m.—noon. The program will be Sunday December 20 during the late service. Parents’ Day Out / Gift Wrapping Saturday December 12, 12 to 4 p.m. Lunch and activities will be provided. Please contact Chrissie Gilbert or Jeana parsons to RSVP. The Youth and Confirmation Class will also be providing gift wrapping . to raise funds for the 2016 National Youth Gathering. New Member Welcome, December 13, during the late service. LWML will provide a Christmas dinner, please bring your favorite Christmas dessert to share. Following the dinner will be our Annual Voter’s Meeting. At this meeting we be voting on whether to or not to extend a call to a DCE. The Proposed Budget approved by the council is available at the Welcome Center for those who would like to review it before the meeting. We collected 270 coloring books for Fred Douglass students. Thank you for helping make that possible by your contributions.
Grace provides a quarterly devotion book, Portals of Prayer, for anyone who would like to use them. The JanuaryMarch issue is now available in the Narthex. There are a limited number of large print editions. Please take them to use and to share. Ladies of Grace Bible Study December Meeting Wednesday the 9th, 11 a.m. will be held in the home of Willie and Kay Clark 3501 Holly Street, Denison. The Backpacks will be provided by a Thrivent Mission Action Grant (approximately 60). Special Worship Services for Advent December 9 – Abraham’s Star of Promise December 16 – The Star of David Services will be at 7:00 p.m. Before each Wednesday service, there will be a Soup Supper at 6:00 p.m. Please bring breads and desserts to share. Christmas is a great time to spread the word of Jesus Christ! So let’s sing it out! Everyone is welcome to attend. We will meet at Grace at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20th. If you have any place you would like us to go Caroling, contact Pastor. Hope to see you there! Bring snack to share afterwards. Christmas Eve Worship Our annual Candlelight Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. December 24. Come rejoice as we celebrate God’s greatest gift to us: A Savior, who is Christ, the Lord! Join us December 27, during the Education Hour for a Festive Christmas Pot-Blessed Brunch! There will be no Bible Class or Sunday School that day. We will have one worship service with Holy Communion at 10:30 a.m.
