Mission Grace exists to strengthen people in their relationship with Jesus Christ and to empower them to share Jesus with others.
Fifth Sunday after Pentecost June 28, 2015 We’re glad you’re here!
Please fill out a Family Registration Card with your Prayer Requests. Pass cards to the center aisle so the ushers can collect them. Children are welcome in the worship service. They are invited to the front for a children’s message in the Blended service. A nursery is provided for children 3 and under during the Sunday School and the Blended Service. The ushers will assist you in finding the nursery.
Thank you Gary Stone for filling in at the pulpit and Nancy Davis at the organ, while Pastor and Cheryl attend the LWML Convention in Des Moines, Iowa. Our mission project for through September is Sole Hope, a ministry that provides shoes for orphans in Uganda. There will be a hands on project for this on August 8. We will be using patterns to cut out the pieces to make shoes, which will be shipped to Africa to be assembled. Please continue to save cleaned, empty milk jugs and used blue jeans. (When you wash out the milk jugs, please leave the caps off and let them dry. We don’t need the caps!) Visit solehope.org to learn more about this what this organization is doing.
Thought about ELECTRONIC GIVING? You can set up direct deposits of your offerings to the church account at NO COST TO YOU. It is a very convenient and secure way to support the ministry of our congregation. If you want more information or would like to set this up, contact the church office.
We help put communities and lives back together Upbring Disaster Response (Formerly called Lutheran Services of the South) is prepared to step in to help families and communities in the aftermath of natural disasters – tornadoes, hurricanes, floods or wildfires – in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. You may give an online donation at: Upbring.org; designate “2015 Storms” in the drop down menu, Place your offering in the collection plate marked “Upbring”.
Who was that person I talked to after service? What’s going on at Grace this month? Those are the types of questions that are easily answered if you join The Table! When you join, fill out your profile and share a picture of yourself, you are adding to the online church directory that is available instantly to other members...but don’t worry, it is not made public. It is only visible to members and regular attenders of Grace. It is also a great way to share information, prayer requests, ask for assistance, and more. Want to know more about our new Church Social Network? An information sheet is available at the Welcome Center. We already have 69 members that have joined, but we’ve still got a space for you at the Table!
