A Great Mission Opportunity! There is still much work to be done around the Houston area after the devastating Hurricane Harvey. If you would like to help now is your chance. A group will be leaving for Trinity Lutheran in Klein, TX March 25th and returning March 29th. If you are older than 14 you are welcome to help. A member of Grace has graciously offered to cover the $20 per day fee for each person attending. If you are interested please contact Josh Velten or Lindel Davis. Family Promise is a Go! Grace will soon be hosting for Family Promise. Please sign up to help with this program that helps show Christ’s love in tangible ways. Please contact Robin Gilbert or Elaine Botka for more information. Do you need a scholarship? We are now accepting applications for the LevaWhiting Scholarship and the Grace Church Work Scholarship. If you are interested, the church office has the guidelines and applications. Deadline for applying is Sunday, May 13th.
Signs of Lent Like signs we see along the roads that tell us what to do, we see signs along the way on our Lenten journey that show us the way to Christ. In our Lenten worship this Wednesday, we are reminded that, unlike other paths in life, Jesus is not a dead end, but a start to life everlasting. In our Palm Sunday worship, we are reminded that wide road of palms and praises to the Son of David will narrow this week, leading directly to the pain and power of the cross of Christ. The April through June Portals of Prayer are now available in the Narthex. Please take one for yourself and remember to take one for a friend or two! During Lent we will be collecting donations for Military Bible Sticks. These are given free of charge to members of the Armed Forces. A sample of a Bible Stick is on display in the Narthex.
