Ladies: there will be a potluck luncheon after the late service on November 8. A LWML meeting will follow. We will be discussing and planning a Christmas gathering. Saturday, November 14 5:00-8:00pm. MIDWEEK Pastor’s Confirmation Class for 6-8 Grade is talking about Holy Communion this week. Jeana is leading the children through Old Testament Stories. This week the story is David and Goliath. Adults: “Who am I?” “What am I doing here?” Lead by Josh and Amy Velten Please join us for dinner at 6 pm and classes for all ages at 6:30 pm. Today we continue a series of sermons under the theme "Game Day." As followers of Jesus, every day is Game Day. Every day, we are called to live our lives as bold witnesses to Christ and His love. So how do you train for the every day games of this life? The Bible gives us spiritual disciplines. Today’s Discipline is Sabbath Rest. Thanksgiving Eve worship will be Wednesday, November 26th at 7 p.m. The Youth and Confirmation Class will provide dinner beginning at 6 p.m. Please sign up on the bulletin board if you plan to attend the meal. A free will offering will help those attending National Youth Gathering next summer.
Backpack Blessings During October, November and December we are collecting items to be put in backpacks for the homeless. The Backpacks will be provided by a Thrivent Mission Action Grant (approximately 60). Items to include in the backpacks: Scarf Toboggan Gloves Socks Bottle of Water Portals of Prayer Travel toiletries: Shampoo Soap (bar or liquid) Toothbrush Toothpaste Deodorant (please no mouthwash) Belk Charity Sale Nov. 7th 6 am - 10 am LWML is selling tickets for $5, and that purchase price stays with the LWML. The ticket gets you into the store for the sale and is worth $5 for you to spend on the day of the sale. Merchandise will be marked down 20-75% storewide. You can use up to 5 tickets per person.
