Children’s Christmas Program practice will be December 12 & 19 from 10 a.m.—noon. The program will be Sunday December 20 during the late service. Parents’ Day out and Gift Wrapping Saturday, December 12, noon to 4 p.m. Lunch and activities will be provided. Please contact Chrissie Gilbert or Jeana parsons to RSVP. The Youth and Confirmation Class will also be providing gift wrapping from noon to 4 p.m. to raise funds for the 2016 National Youth Gathering.

It’s not late hand in your Pledge. Pledge sheets are available at the Welcome Center, you may put them in the offering plate. Pancake Breakfast at Grace December 5, 8 - 9:30 a.m. Flyers are available to pass out at Welcome Center. Sojourners Advent Brunch at the Klauser’s home 5508 Bello Vista Dr., Sherman - on December 8, at 10:00 a.m. Bring snacks to share. New Member Welcome, December 13, during the late service. LWML will provide a Christmas dinner, please bring your favorite Christmas dessert to share. Following the dinner will be our Annual Voter’s Meeting. At this meeting we be voting on whether to or not to extend a call to a DCE. The Proposed Budget approved by the council is available at the Welcome Center for those who would like to review it before the meeting.

Special Worship Services for Advent Starting December 2, we will have three Midweek Advent Worship services. We will “Look at the Stars” in these services December 2 – The Creator’s Star December 9 – Abraham’s Star of Promise December 16 – The Star of David Services will be at 7:00 p.m. Before each Wednesday service, there will be a Soup Supper at 6:00 p.m. Please bring breads and desserts to share. We are collecting non-perishable food items to share with local assistance ministries in Sherman and Denison. Items may be placed in the Narthex.


Backpack Blessings During December we are collecting items to be put in backpacks for the homeless. The Backpacks will be provided by a Thrivent Mission Action Grant (approximately 60). See list on Bulletin Board in Fellowship Hall

Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 7 p.m. Family Promise will discuss how congregations in Grayson County are exploring networking together to provide, on a rotating basis, overnight accommodations and meals for homeless families. The meeting will held at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Sherman. Pastor will be attending and would welcome others to attend with him. December 5, 4:30 p.m. BBQ Benefit Dinner We will host a Benefit dinner to help with medical and living expenses for David Martin. Tickets are $15 in the office. If you want to sell tickets, talk to Pastor or Elaine. Please let Pastor know if you can help. THRIVENT Trinity Chapter has agreed to provide matching funds – $1 for every $3 we raise – up to $1000!!!!
