Our 8 a.m. service uses the traditional liturgies and hymns of the Lutheran Church. The 10:30 a.m. Worship Service is a more contemporary service, using a variety of formats, instruments and newer songs along with traditional hymns. Please fill out a Family Registration Card with your Prayer Requests. Pass cards to the center aisle so the ushers can collect them. Children are welcome in the worship service. They are invited to the front for a children’s message during the 10:30 a.m. service. A nursery is provided for children 3 and under during the Sunday School and the 10:30 a.m. Service. The ushers will assist you in finding the nursery.

We have called for a special voters’ meeting today after the Late Service, for the purpose of extending a call to a DCE to be our Children’s and Family Minister. Heather Bleier is the candidate for the Director of Children’s and Family Ministry being recommended by the call committee. She resides in Florida with her husband and daughter. She graduated from Concordia, Austin and has spent the last ten years working at Our Savior Lutheran Church and School in Plantation, Florida. She is a Texas native from San Antonio. She maintains a blog, loves to sing, act, and read, and does presentations on the use of social media in the church. During her interview, her energy and enthusiasm for the Ministry shone through, and the Committee feels she would be a great match for Grace. Church Potluck Dinner After Call Meeting Bring your favorite or new recipes to share with everyone. Drinks and plastic ware will be provided. We will have the meal in the pavilion weather permitting.

Christ is the cornerstone of our faith and the foundation of our life as the people of God . We will take a look at the teachings of Scripture that comprise the foundation of our faith and see how they center on Christ and shape our day to day living. Today we will look at “God’s Word.” As a supplement to this series, there are materials available for individual and/or small group study during the week. Go to glcdenison.org to find the links to the study materials.
