With this in mind, we have decided to no longer include insurance on most GLENTON holidays. The only exception to this will be our Ocean Cruise Collection which will still include the free holiday insurance option. Should you require holiday insurance, we can still offer you a policy at a very competitive price. This policy has the added bonus of no excess to pay on holiday cancellations where you have lost your deposit. Terms and conditions apply to all bookings. A non refundable deposit is payable within four working days of booking your holiday. Deposits are £35 for coach holidays in the UK and £50 deposit for Ireland. We enjoy time in Aberdeen, rich in heritage and vibrant culture along with award winning museums and art galleries. Why not join your host on an optional scenic cruise of Aberdeen’s harbour, one of the UK’s busiest ports and enjoy fish & chips onboard whilst taking in a unique perspective of the city. The Victorian town of Llandrindod Wells is perched seven hundred feet above sea level and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. Perhaps follow the leafy trails in Rock Park, view the artefacts at Radnorshire Museum or simply relax and watch the birds on the lake. We venture out to the cathedral city of Hereford which straddles the banks of the River Wye and exudes a friendly market town atmosphere. We also dip our toes in the sand on a morning visit to the pretty coastal resort of Aberystwyth. Our final outing is to King Arthur’s Labyrinth in southern Snowdonia. Here we take a cruise under the mountain and are regaled by tales during a mysterious cave walk, followed by lunch.
Your Excursions Hereford No visit to Hereford would be complete without viewing the outstanding thirteenth century Mappa Mundi map inside the Gothic Grade I listed cathedral. The largest medieval map of the world in existence, it gives a remarkable insight into history. Maybe visit the famous Cider Museum where you can view the old machinery, vats and glassware, browse the art gallery and see the original cellars. Or perhaps pop into the distinctive black and white half timbered Old House on the High Street which dates from 1621 and is now a museum. Aberystwyth We enjoy a morning visit to the seaside resort and market town of Aberystwyth. Maybe you’d like to visit the narrow gauge Vale of Rheidol Railway, the Grade I listed castle or the funicular railway. King Arthur’s Labyrinth, lunch & Corris Craft Centre A great Welsh adventure as we head to Machynlleth and deep beneath the mountains of Southern Snowdonia for the mysterious King Arthur’s Labyrinth. We set sail through the cascading veil of an underground waterfall and discover a magical place where tales of fiery dragons, colossal giants, fierce battles and the legendary King Arthur are told. We also include a visit to the Y Crochan café where we enjoy a the local delicacy welsh rarebit, using local ingredients and have free time to explore the unique Corris Craft Centre; a hub of activity with individual craft studios. See some of the designer-makers at work, items made on site include traditional wooden toys, jewellery, candles, chocolates, pottery, herbal lotions and remedies and award winning artisan gin. This is a great place for finding a little taste of Wales to take home.

Today we head to Luxembourg City for a guided walking tour of this stylish metropolis. Your Holiday Itinerary Day One. We journey to Hull for our overnight ferry to the continent enjoying dinner, entertainment and breakfast on board. Day Two. We head to Bonn for some free time. This fine city is the birthplace of Beethoven and home to the composer’s house and museum with exhibits including his manuscripts and last piano. We continue to the Hotel Gorres and check in for our three night dinner, bed and breakfast stay. Day Three. Look forward to a scenic drive to Koblenz. Perhaps hop aboard the state-of-the-art cable car that whisks you up to the amazing Prussian Ehrenbreitstein Fortress which houses the state museum of antiquities along with exhibitions and medals. Or relax at German Corner – a square at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle overlooked by an imposing statue of Kaiser Wilhelm. Later we continue to Boppard, known as the ‘Pearl of the Rhine’ and bustling with medieval charm.
