Johnson, 50 years MASON CITY — John J. Johnson and Pat (Lannon) Johnson, of Mason City, were married Feb. 27, 1960, at Holy Family Church, Mason City. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a Big Johnson Weekend with a dinner party with their kids and grandchildren, and Mass the weekend of July 25. Their children and their spouses are Julie and (Tom) Ricke, John and (Joy) Johnson, David and (Colette) Johnson, and Denyce and (Don) Wingert. They have nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pat and John reside in Bradenton, Fla., in the winter, and Mason City after First Communion and Wedding season begins. They’ve hung up: snowmobiling, canoeing, downhill skiing, traveling with their kids in a station wagon, hot-air ballooning, and boating on the Gulf Coast. Their latest adventure is kayaking around the canals in Florida. They have so many great friends including their siblings and their spouses.
