The family of Jon Weiland would like to express our sincere thank you to everyone who helped with the many searches, the donations, prayers and many acts of kindness during this past four months. Without this support, the burden of Jon’s disappearance would have been unbearable. We would especially like to thank Monson & Sons trucking and the numerous law enforcement agencies for their help. Clapsaddle is married to Air Force Colonel (select) Andra Balog Clapsaddle who serves on the Department of Defense’s Office of the Inspector General, Washington, D.C.

Darin Meyer who so lovingly painted the urn for Jon’s final resting place and Mike Greg who so eloquently reflected upon Jon’s life at the memorial service, and a special thank you to the motorcyclists who led the procession to the cemetery. Bishop-Garrigan math team ALGONA — The Bishop Garrigan math team was represented at the Iowa state championships held April 24, in Iowa City, by sophomores, Craig Kohlhaas, Austin Salz and Jenny Broesder. In the Target Round, Craig Kohlhaas had the best Bishop Garrigan score, answering 3 of 10 questions correctly. That was the second best score among all sophomores at state, so he received a trophy plaque and qualified for regional competition. Kohlhaas will be a member of the Iowa Small School team competing in Kansas City, Mo., in May, against

teams from Missouri and Kansas. This is the third year in a row, Bishop Garrigan has been represented by an individual at the tristate regional championships in Kansas City, Mo.
