DES MOINES — The following North Iowa students are recipients of scholarships through the Iowa College Foundation, an organization that raises funds for its 23 member independent colleges in Iowa. The Iowa College Foundation, a Foundation on Independent Higher Education affiliated state association, distributed $62,100 in UPS scholarship funds to its 23-member colleges in Iowa for the 2010-11 academic year. FIHE awarded more than $1.6 million in scholarships from its UPS Educational Endowment Fund to private institutions of higher learning across the nation. Alyssa is a 2004 graduate of Clear Lake High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in communication and textiles and apparel. Alyssa is employed with the Office of Admission at Drake University in Des Moines. ROBBIE BURNETT, of Des Moines, is the son of Robert and Alyce Burnett of Johnston.
