OSAGE — Jim Carroll and Joan (Pals) Carroll of Osage were married Dec. 24, 1950, at the United Methodist Church in Belmond. Their two daughters and their families are Susan and Jeff Neuwohner and their children, Emily and Megan Neuwohner of Lake Mills; and Leanne and Rick Ermer and their children Joe, Jimmy and Jack Ermer of Garner. This year 2010 was a very special year for Jim and Joan. In June, Joan celebrated her 80th birthday. In August, Jim celebrated his 86th birthday, and on Christmas Eve, they will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. They have been blessed with many good friends and good health over the years, which has allowed them to stay in their own home in Osage.
