NOON LIONS REPORT TO THE COMMUNITY Members of the Noon Lions Club have accomplished several community service projects from August to December 2010. On Halloween night, we collected over 200 gently used eyeglasses, rang the bell for the Salvation Army in December and provided eye exams and eyeglasses through a local eye center to six deserving individuals between July and November. The Club also received a $1,000 grant from the Mason City Clinic Charitable Giving Committee to carry out its work in providing eyeglasses and exams to those in need. The annual Tailgate Chili Supper fundraiser in October at Mason City High School was made even more successful with the

sponsorship of local businesses. In addition, club members provided vision screening to preschool-aged children in five local preschools. Finally, in December, the Club collaborated with the Charles H. MacNider Art Museum to showcase last year’s international Peace Poster Contests finalists, as well as posters by this year’s competing young artists from Mason City.
