MASON CITY —Jason Carberry and Kristina Meyering were united in marriage on June 26, 2010, by Pastor Scott Davis at Grace Evangelical Free Church in Mason City. Kristina is the daughter of Sherman and Ruth Meyering of Garner. She is the granddaughter of Dorothy Meyering of Thompson. Jason is the son of Bambi Carberry and the late Dennis Carberry of Mason City. He is the grandson of Vivian Carberry of Shreveport, La., and Keith and Coleen Stuart of Raleigh, N.C. Maid of honor was Beth Meyering, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Katie Carberry and Erica Baxter. Junior bridesmaid was Grace Carberry. Flower girl was Rebecca Meyering. Kristina’s personal attendants were Kim Meyering and Chelsey Kozisek. Best man was Elias Wunderlich, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Jeremy Low and Michael Meyering. Junior groomsman was Matthew Carberry. Ring bearer was Parker Low. Ushers were Andrew Eisenman, Kevin Ketelsen, and Jay Ketelsen. Soloists were Liz Montgomery and Paul Grotelueschen. The reception and dance were held at the NIACC Activity Center, hosted by John and Nancy Ketelsen and Dennis and Nancy Erickson. Kristina graduated from Garner-Hayfield High School in 2008. Jason graduated from Mason City High School in 2007. Following a honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, they both are attending Trinity International University in Deerfield, Ill.

ROCKFORD — Robert Havranek and Joyce (Merriss) Havranek of Rockford were married Feb. 4, 1951, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Mason City. The couple will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at the IOOF Home, 1037 19th St. S.W. in Mason City. Their children will be hosts. Robert Carney and Arlene (Kielsmeier) Carney were united in marriage during a blizzard on Sunday, Jan. 28, 1951, at the Flood Creek Methodist Church near Rockford. The bride and groom left their respective homes for the ceremony by car, but arrived at the church by walking the final several yards when their cars could not pass through the snowdrifts. The marriage ceremony and reception were held at the church, after which the newlyweds left for an extended honeymoon in sunny California. Robert and Arlene returned from California and lived their married life on the family farm near Marble Rock. They are the parents of four children: Dennis (Diane) Carney of Greene, Diane (Clayton) Black of Marble Rock, Donna (Steve Thompson) Carney of Chalfont, Pa., and Dawn (Steve) Hahn of Monticello, Wis. They are grandparents of five grandsons: Andrew Carney of Fort Collins,
