On behalf of all of us associated with this year’s American Cancer Society Coaches vs. Cancer event at Mason City High School, we would like to thank the fans, players, cheerleaders, coaches, and everyone of the Mason City Community for their generosity and support. More than $4,500 was raised for the American Cancer Society’s research, education, advocacy and service programs. This outstanding show of support proves that the people of Mason City are truly committed to the fight against cancer. A special thanks to the many Coaches vs. Cancer volunteers who worked to make this evening a success — celebrating the lives of those who have had cancer, remembering those lost, and fighting back against a disease that takes too much. The Coaches vs. Cancer committee did an outstanding job of putting the event together. Thank you so much for all your hard work, it is truly appreciated. Beyond The Sunset Should you go first and I remain, to walk the road alone, I’ll live in memory’s garden, dear, with happy days we’ve known. In spring I’ll wait for roses red, when faded, the lilacs blue. In early fall
when leaves fall, I’ll catch a glimpse of you. Should you go first and I remain, for battles to be fought. Each thing you’ve touched along the way will be a hallowed spot. I’ll hear your voice, I’ll see your smile, tho blindly I may grope. The memory of your helping hand will buoy me on with hope. Should you go first and I remain, one thing I’ll have you do, walk slowly down that long, long path, for soon I’ll follow you. I want to know each step you take, so I may take the same. For someday down that only road, you’ll hear me call your name.

plastic bags. The sad fact is only 3% of plastic shopping bags are recycled. People need incentives to reduce their consumption of disposable shopping bags.
