a bit of jealousy when I watched the little Munchkins perform at the Wizard of Oz at NIACC earlier this week; jealous, only because my children were too old and too big to meet the height required by the touring company. These Stebens Tier students were chosen to perform with this National Tour while in Mason City and did an amazing job! I have heard from several people who would have thought they were professionals that did this production every night. Mason City is so fortunate to have a children’s theatre of this caliber with a director whose passion for the performing arts shines in the outstanding performances that these kids put on. Not only does it provide them a place to learn and perform, it prepares them to be outstanding young adults. Thanks to Elizabeth Gales for bringing these wonderful events to Mason City and for allowing the Stebens Children’s Theatre students to be a part of something they will never forget.
