Ruiz earns Ph.D. in anatomy, cell biology CLEAR LAKE — Autumn Ruiz graduated with honors from the University of Kansas Medical Center Dec. 17, 2010, earning her degree of Doctor of Philosophy in anatomy and cell biology. Autumn is a 2001 graduate of Mason City High School and 2005 graduate of the University of Iowa. She is the daughter of Echo Ruiz, Clear Lake, and the late Tom Ruiz. Grandparents are Wanda Harden, of Mason City, and the late Elmer Harden, and Candelario Ruiz, formerly of Mason City, and the late Isabel Ruiz. Autumn is currently doing post doctorate research in oncolytic virotherapy at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn.
