Tailgaters was chosen as Readers’ Choice for Friendliest Bartender/Staff and Friendliest Tavern. Owner Ryan Kramer would like to thank both customers and staff for the designation. Kramer started with the Sports Bar and Grill four and a half years ago as part owner. He became the majority owner a year and a half ago. Adam Blanchard is a partner. Both Kramer and Blanchard work full time with six parttime employees. Kramer chose the business because he likes interaction and likes meeting new people. “It serves as a meeting place and it’s knowing people can come in and relax,” he said. Being designated as the Friendliest Tavern comes from providing quality service, and customers are always happy, Kramer said.. Quality service comes about with everyone working together and meeting customers’ needs. “We’re only as good as our customers are,” and they understand about service because they see we are always busy,” he said. Food includes pizza, burgers, fried food and sandwiches. For sports, there are nine TV’s and six different channels, plus sports themes on the walls. Iowa is the most popular, but “We work with everybody else in meeting customers’ needs.” First and foremost for Tailgaters, success is the clientele and having a good staff, said Kramer. Tailgaters is located at 627 South Federal Avenue and opens at 11 a.m. Sunday through Saturday. Monday closing goes by customers. Dancin With Roxie is North Iowa’s premiere studio for dancers of all ages, body types and experience levels who have a passion for dance. “We offer fun, energetic, top notch instruction for ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, advanced technique, hip hop, cheer/pom, contemporary, tumbling, beginning age intro to dance, and we also have a multi-national championship award winning competition team.” Explains Owner, Roxanna Johnson. “We take great pride in the reputation that we have built throughout the past ten years. We’re known for providing a quality education, our strong values and ties to the community, having fun, and being the best.” “Our ability to help dancers find their inner passion for the art of dance is key to our program. Once you find that passion, the possibilities are endless. No matter what level you are starting at, we can get you where you want to be. Our schedule is very a la carte. You can take as many or as few classes as you wish, or have time for. Along with dance instruction we take great care to make sure that our dancers are inspiring others and being great friends. Once you step through our studio doors, you are among friends!” Dancin’ With Roxie has a growing list of dancers who have gone on to become successful collegiate and professional level dancers. Classes start at just $33 per month. Fall and summer session enrollment opens soon, many classes will fill to capacity.
