Jamie is the daughter of Jim and Diana Morrow of Decorah, formerly of Mason City, Iowa. She is a 2007 graduate of Mason City High School, a 2010 graduate of UNI, and a 2015 graduate of NICC in Calmar. She is employed as an RN in Decorah. Brent is a 2007 graduate of Decorah High School and a graduate of NICC in Calmar. He is employed as an electrician at Perry Novak Electrical of Decorah. The couple honeymooned with a Caribbean cruise and reside in Decorah.

CLEAR LAKE — Brie Wagler, of Clear Lake, and Erin McDonald, of Mason City, each received $250 scholarships from the Clear Lake Arts Center, to assist in furthering their exploration and discovery of the arts. Wagler, a graduate of Clear Lake High School, attends North Iowa Area Community College and is studying ag business. McDonald, a graduate of Newman Catholic High School, is a student at Iowa State University, pursuing a degree in art and design — graphic design. Both students were involved in art classes throughout high school and volunteered on different projects at the Arts Center.

He is the son of Brad Epperly, a 1986 Mason City graduate, and grandson of Steve and BJ Epperly, of Mason City, and Jim and Ramona Adkins of Urbandale, formerly of Mason City.

Award & AchievementS Abe Cink named Exchange Club’s ‘Youth of the Month’ MASON CITY — The Exchange Club of Mason City has named Abraham “Abe” Cink “Youth of the Month” for October. He is the son of Diana Cink and is a senior at Newman Catholic High School. Cink carries a 4.0 grade point average and has been on all semester honor rolls during high school, and is a member of the National Honor Society. Abe has participated in football, golf, chorus, show choir and musicals. Cink In addition, Cink works at Good Shepherd and in his free time enjoys reading, weightlifting and anything to do with electrical, mechanical, carpentry and programming. Though his college choice is undecided, he plans to study aerospace engineering with a minor in electrical or mechanical engineering.

Mason City students honored by Belin-Blank Center MASON CITY — Grant Bohls, a student at Lincoln Intermediate School, and Jacob Frieden, a student at Mason City High School, were among 500 students from Iowa and throughout the nation who were recently invited to be honored at the University of Iowa BelinBlank Center’s Recognition Ceremony. The ceremony was held Oct. 11, at the Iowa Memorial Union on the University of Iowa campus. Students were invited to be recognized by the center for exceptional performance in the Belin-Blank Center student talent search. The Belin-Blank Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development is an international full-service gifted education center at the University of Iowa’s College of Education.
