She is currently undergoing treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and is unable to work. Please join us Saturday Oct. 10, 2015, at the Moose Lodge, at 22 Fourth St. N.W., Mason City, starting at 1 p.m. There will be food, fun and festivities, with a live auction at 6 p.m. All donations will go directly to offset Ruth’s medical expenses. Special thank you to First Lutheran Church in Northwood, to Pastor John Holt for officiating plus your visits to Wayne and I, organist Tim O’Shields, soloist Kandi Shupe, to Signatures and the Rachel Circle serving the lunch, military honors accorded by the Northwood VFW honor guard, and to the staff of Schroeder and Sites Funeral home. A special thankyou to Pastor Al Stoa for his visits and attending care conferences with the family during Wayne’s hospitalization and last 2 months at St. Lucas Health Care Center in Faribault. We are so grateful for all the prayers, love, hugs, and support you’ve shown us these past months after Wayne’s traumatic fall on the ice in February and since his passing. Facing changes in life together, supporting one another in the assurance of God’s amazing Grace and love makes all the difference. We are blessed!

Matron of honor was Lisa Johnson. Julie’s other attendants were Michelle Grabosch, Amanda Kubik, and Amanda Freese. Best Man was Anthony Bushman. Brian’s other attendants were Delwyn Borntrager, Daniel Zimmerman, and Tyler Terhune. A reception was held at Park Place Event Centre, Cedar Falls, Iowa. Julie graduated from the University of Northern Iowa, and is employed by Farmers State Bank of Waterloo, Iowa. Brian graduated from the University of Northern Iowa, and is employed by GMT of Waverly, Iowa. The couple honeymooned in Australia and is residing in Cedar Falls.

Our hearts are full with the outpouring of love and kindness shown to Russ and our whole family during his sickness and passing. The cards and love shown to him during his illness by so many touched him deeply, especially the wonderful card signed by his classmates of 1965 at their Reunion. Our deep appreciation to the staff and doctors at Floyd County and Mitchell County Medical Centers, Mayo Clinic, Rochester Methodist Hospital and the caring Oncology nurses and doctors who showed us that Russ was not just a patient but a human being they cared about. Thank you so much to Hospice of North Iowa and Hauser Funeral Home for your gentle care, to Pastor Dennis Niezwaag for your prayers and beautiful service, to Our Saviors Lutheran Church and staff, to Faith Meineke for your beautiful tribute, and to S&S Locker for your delicious luncheon. To all of our caring friends and colleagues who helped us celebrate Russ’s life, you will forever be in our hearts.
