Miranda is the daughter of James and Linda Jenson of Rockwell. Michael is the son of Bruce and Connie Wehr of Davenport. Maid of honor was Amanda Pexa. MARRIED Maid of honor was Krystle Eiklenborg of Hampton. The bride’s other attendants were Robin Schadt, Bethany Melendy and Jennifer Eden. The bridesmaids wore claret chiffon gowns, with an empire waist and an embroidered and beaded bodice. The design on the bodice was a floral pattern which complemented the embroidery on the bride’s gown. They carried arm bouquets of red and white gladiolus. Her personal attendants, gift and guest book attendants were her cousins, Kelly Fink and Emily Allen, and her niece, Brieanna Spoo. They wore red silk dresses that matched those of the bridesmaids. Best man was Brian Moore. Groomsmen were Nate Schadt, Darrel Perez and Matt Meyers. They wore western-style black tuxedos with burgundy vests. Ushers and candlelighters were Chad Spoo, brother of the bride, and Tim Ferry, cousin of the groom. Special music, “Keeper of The Stars,” by Tracy Byrd was sung by soloist, Pastor Phil Christensen.

A reception hosted by Tim and Linda Ferry, cousins of the groom, was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Cedar Rapids. The rehearsal dinner was held at Godfather’s in Cedar Rapids and a brunch for opening gifts was held at the groom’s parent’s home in Robins the day after the wedding. Crystal is a 2003 graduate of Hampton-Dumont High School and a 2006 graduate of Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids with a horse science degree. She is employed with CRST Truckline Inc. in Cedar Rapids. Matthew is a 2000 graduate of Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids, and a 2007 graduate of Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids with a business computer science degree. He is selfemployed as a computer programmer in Cedar Rapids. Following a honeymoon trip to the Budweiser Clydesdale Farm in St. Louis, Mo., and The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tenn., the couple is at home in Robins.

Little Dutch Quiz Bowl ALGONA — The Bishop-Garrigan High School Golden Bear quiz bowl team took second place in the varsity division at the Little Dutch Quiz Bowl Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 13. The team had a perfect 4-0 record in preliminary rounds and beat North Sentral Kossuth in the semi-finals before narrowly falling to Sergeant Bluff-Luton in the championship game. HUMBOLDT —The Iowa Bandmasters Association held its North Central Iowa Middle School Honor Band event, Nov. 14, in Humboldt. A total of 200 students were chosen for this event, including five from Central Springs Middle School: 7th graders, Levi Nettleton (tuba), and Aaron Prestholt (trombone); 8th graders, Kendra Miller (tenor saxophone), Emily Overy (French horn), and Chazz Wolcott (bass clarinet). All three eighth graders were given special recognition. Kendra and Emily were chosen to participate in the 2010 Iowa Bandmasters Association All-Iowa 8th Grade Honor Band.
