1/23/1935 to 7/4/2012 They say memories are golden, well, maybe that is true. We never wanted memories, we only wanted you. A million times we cried... If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one else could fill. If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane, We’d walk the path to heaven and bring you back again. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us back one by one, the chain will link again. Love, Shirley, LuAnn and Mike, Sue and families

Robert “Robby” Merle Mahoney August 20, 1991-July 6, 2014 It’s been a year since God sent his angels for “Robby.” God knew He made Robby special, and his family and friends knew as well. Robby’s smile, laugh, charm and heart of gold are sadly missed by those of us he left behind, but Robby is the lucky one to be chosen to be with his Heavenly Father. The loss of Robby left a void in the hearts of so many, which is evidenced by all who have honored his memory. His friends had bricks with an engraved message placed in Clear Lake. The North Iowa Bulls held a tribute in his honor and hung a banner with his hockey number and name in the North Iowa Ice Arena. Because Robby had such a passion for hockey, T-shirts and wristbands were sold with proceeds going to the Robert Merle Mahoney Memorial Fund, which will help with fees and provide equipment to kids who have a financial need. As Robby’s mom, I feel a deep ache inside my heart that never goes away; I think of him every second of every day. Robby’s family would like to thank all of his friends and co-workers in Mason City and Iowa City, the North Iowa Bulls, and all of our friends and family for all the love and support they have given us. I would also like to thank the North Iowa Mercy Medical Center’s Communication Department for all the love and support they have provided me during this very difficult time. Robby, you are sadly missed and will never be forgotten. You are “Forever Young and Shining.” With all of our love, Mom, Dad, Erin, Grandma Bev and Aunt Patti
