UW-Madison announces Fall Dean’s List MADISON, Wis. — Landon Jennings-Stoyles, a student in the School of Pharmacy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, was named to the High Honor Roll for the fall semester.

Jennings-Stoyles is from Mason City.

Students who achieve at a high level academically are recognized by the dean

at the close of each semester. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, students must complete a minimum of 12 graded degree credits in that semester. Each university school or college sets its own grade point average requirements for students to be eligible to receive the distinction.

Campbellsville University announces academic honors CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — The academic honors’ lists were released for the fall 2014 semester at Campbellsville University.

Mikayla M. Smith, of Mason City, was named to the President’s List, and Dalton J. Olson, of Mason City, was named

AWARDS & ACHIEVEMENTS Samantha Grant recognized by River City Sunrise Rotary Club MASON CITY — The River City Sunrise Rotary Club named Samantha Grant Student of the Month for December. She is the daughter of Heidi and Dan Grant and is a senior at Mason City Alternative School. She has also

been recognized as the school “Student of the Week.” Grant plans to attend North Iowa Area Community College next fall.

Lovell graduates from University of Texas CLEAR LAKE — Christopher Lovell, 22, recently graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. A cumulative grade point average of 3.9 on a 4.0 scale is needed for the summa cum laude distinction.

While at UTA, Lovell was initiated into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest honor society representing students and

scholars from all academic disciplines.

Lovell also was honored as a Super Scholar Athlete for earning a 4.0 grade point average while playing on the NCAA Division I University of Texas at Arlington men’s golf team. With an enrollment of 33,500 students and located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area, UTA is the second largest institution in the University of Texas system.
