Parks, 40 years ALEXANDER — Robert (Bob) Parks of Alexander, Iowa, and Ardith (Dorenkamp) Parks of Sheffield, Iowa, were united in marriage in January of 1975. It was a two-day wedding because on the wedding day, Saturday the 25th, Mother Nature produced a huge blizzard. The wedding had to be postponed until Sunday the

26th at Zion Reformed Church of rural Sheffield, Iowa. Bob and Ardith will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with their daughter Tiffany and Jon Whipple and granddaughter Taylor of Des Moines, Iowa, also their daughter Jennifer of Des Moines, Iowa. Nicole Hehr named “Youth of the Month” by Exchange Club MASON CITY — The Exchange Club of Mason City named Nicole Hehr, “Youth of the Month,” for JanuHehr ary. She is the daughter of Stephanie Nettleton and Nathan Hehr, and is a senior at Newman Catholic High School. Hehr carries a 4.0 grade point average, has been on all semester honor rolls during high school and is a member of the National Honor

Society. Hehr plays piccolo and flute for the Newman concert band, pep band, pit band and marching band, and has been named to numerous honor bands. She has also participated in swimming, softball, quiz bowl, YIELD, and the prom committee. In addition, Hehr enjoys reading, drawing, swimming, and baking, and is an active member in the youth group and parish council at Epiphany Parish. She plans to attend the University of Iowa to study pre-med courses to become an ophthalmologist.
