Thank you Reasons To Love Mason City During the last 14 months I’ve been able to add two more wonderful reasons to my list as to why I love living in Mason City, Iowa. My mother moved here the first part of January 2014, and became a resident of Homestead Assisted Living in Pebble Creek. During Mom’s time there the Executive Director and entire staff helped Mom to experience many moments of joy. My Mom experienced the very best practices of elder-care at Homestead and it was always comforting for me to know that my mother spent her last 14 months continuing to live life surrounded by a loving and caring community. This brings me to my additional reason for pride in Mason City. As Mom’s body began to shut down due to her nearly 97 years of living, Hospice of North Iowa was there to give the comfort measures that she and our family needed. Not only were the measures timely, but the staff was wonderfully professional and comforting in every way. Yes, I am proud to say I live in Mason City, Iowa, and I am thankful that my mother was able to experience some of the best that this community has to offer. — Dean A. Genth
