Gagnon, Huber Henely, Strauss Blake Henely of Lake Mills and Tina Strauss of Austin, Minnesota, are happy to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. Moklestad, 65 Years Bob and Shirley Moklestad of Thompson celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. They were married 06/04/1950, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Thompson, Iowa.

A Celebration of Life dinner and birthday party was held to honor Jean “Jeanne” Schwartz of Belmond, Iowa. The catered dinner was held at the VFW Post in Mason City. In attendance were over 50 family members, including her two sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, brothers, and sisters, and other relatives. The event included a roast of Jeanne. The family members related stories and thoughtful actions taken by Jeanne, and how it affected their lives. It was concluded with several champagne toasts. An Open House the following day was held at the parish hall of St. Francis Catholic Church in Belmond. Her sons John and Richard would like to thank the friends and neighbors who attended the open house to honor their mother.

Award & Achievement John Lee graduates with D.O. degree at Rocky Vista University PARKER, Colo. — John Lee, of Mason City, received a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree during spring commencement exercises at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Lee will complete his residency program in pathology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
