Scholarship Chairman Keith Myhre from Harding Masonic Lodge #649, Mason City, presented $500 scholarships each, to Samantha Juleson and Jonathan Boyle.

Juleson is a graduate of Clear Lake High School and plans to attend Drake University, majoring in pharmacy.

Boyle is a Mason City High School graduate who plans to attend Luther College and major in music.

Some of the funds for these scholarships came from a spaghetti dinner held earlier in the year by Harding members.

The couple celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with their three sons and two daughters-in-law on a week-long Alaskan cruise.

The future groom is a 2003 graduate of Newman Catholic High School in Mason City. The future bride is a 2005 graduate of Audubon High School in Audubon. Matt and Kalli are both graduates of the University of Northern Iowa. Matt will be a business teacher and coach for Charter Oak Schools and Kalli will be a kindergarten teacher for Denison Schools this fall.

Scott is the son of Thomas and Linda Als of Mason City, Iowa, and grandson of Mrs. Myrtle Tapps of Mason City, Iowa.

Molly is the daughter of John (Jack) and Patricia Bing of Kansas City, Kan., and the granddaughter of Ervin and Myrtle Dahlke of Kansas City, Kan. The bride wore an ivory gown with an accentuated waist, and an orange lily in her hair.

Following the ceremony, a wedding reception dinner was held at the Bistro Bijoux at the Village of Baytowne in the Sandestin Resort in Miramar Beach, Fla. The bride graduated from high school in Kansas City and from Kansas State with a degree in chemistry. The groom graduated from Mason City High School, North Iowa Area Community College, and Iowa State University with a degree in chemistry. Both are working in Ames.
