They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a trip to St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands, in February this year.

Their children are Kellie Jensen, Mason City, and David Jensen, Mason City. They have a granddaughter, Olivia.

Kyle and Virginia Ulferts of Anamosa are excited to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth Marie, to Jonathan James Medlang, the son of Morris and Jenelle Medlang of Kensett. The ceremony will take place Sept. 24, 2011, at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church in Monticello.

Elizabeth is a 2006 graduate of Anamosa High School, attended Loras College, and graduated from Kirkwood Community College with a degree in early childhood education. She is employed as a paraeducator

by Central City Community Schools and ABC Child Care Center.

Jonathan is a 2005 graduate of Northwood-Kensett High School and a graduate of North Iowa Area Community College with a degree in construction. He is employed by Triangle Agri-Services in Monticello.

The couple will make their home on a family farm north of Prairieburg, and plan to dairy farm in the future.
